Topic: Download Service (Trial version)

If you go to the Club NIntendo site and select Intend to Buy New Super Mario Bros Wii it asks you where you heard of it.

One of the options is called Download Service (Trial version)
Does anyone know what this means? Cause last time I checked you can't demo Wii games. lol Unless they mean the DS download stations, but wouldn't they just call it that?

Added it to my wishlist, but it didn't ask any questions. If it is a demo service, it sounds like NA/Canada will be getting it first.

Well I'm not getting my hopes up. I'm assuming it's something that exists but I just don't know what it's meant to be. lol

Well someone on gamefaqs told me it's just Nintendo being lazy and that the questions are the same for both Wii and DS, at which the DS has a demo service.
Makes sense.

My hunch is that these surveys are outsourced to a third party, and this was just part of the template that got overlooked.

Yeah, it says "trial version". The DS download station is NOT a trial, because you can keep it on your DS as long as you want provided you don't power off, so this is almost definitely for Wii.

Yeah, don't think there's a trial version service coming. The NoE survey has more-or-less the same question, and that "downloaded trial version" has been on there since Club Nintendo replaced Nintendo VIP 24:7, for Wii/Ware, DS/iWare and GC/GBA games.

Those questions are based on a 'boilerplate' survey that is used for all kinds of different games. It's reffering to DS games. They don't make new questions for every game survey. Sheesh.
this is how silly rumors get started. Someone makes brash assumptions based on a lack of common sense. I don't mean to be rude, but I think it's pretty obvious if you've ever taken any of those surveys since they really often don't fit other criteria as well.
They would be fools to add a Wii games trial service now; it's way too much labor for products that are already destined to sell like hotcakes anyway. Not gonna happen.

Most likely. There are almost no other options as to what it could be. The only thing that would NOT be this is a WiiWare Mario game that has a level editor, which would be FREAKING AWESOME!!! (but that has a 1 in 1 BILLION chance of happening, so I guessing it's not that ).
