I would like to see the turbografx/pc engine version of Double Dragon II come to the virtual console. It's a game I have always wanted to play. I have played the NES version yes great, but I always thought this one looked even better. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ETPSBa7uWes
never played it for the turbo system and honestly didnt know it was on there

I want to see the arcade version come to the Virtual Console. I used to play it all the time when I was younger. Good times.

I don't know about that. Double Dragon II for the NES was an excellent game even if they did make changes from the arcade version. Next to Contra and Wrestlemania challenge that was probably the most played co-op game growing up. A friend and I beat Double Dragon II in the arcade back in the day. It took us both over $5.00 in quarters to beat that game because the last boss can get pretty frustrating to fight. I would just love to request that Aksys or Technos or whoever owns the rights to these games to please get them on the Virtual Console Arcade.
Compare Salamander on NES to PC Engine or the many many arcade ports on the PC Engine from Taito, Irem or Namco that flat-out don't exist on the NES. There's a reason PC Engine edged the NES in the popularity stakes in Japan and I'd wager it's down to the excellent arcade ports, many of which never saw the light of day in the States.
I played this version a few years ago on MagicEngine, and it was a great deal of fun, but of course very different from the NES version. Both are well worth playing through.

The arcade versions of all 3 Double Dragon games would be fun if they ever made it to Virtual Console. I remember being a kid and seeing Double Dragon 2 in an arcade for the first time ever and was blown away.
I remember I bought this off ebay, only to find it didn't work. I sent a strongly worded letter to the person who sold me it, and gave a bad review too. So, yes, I would really like this on VC.
Best thread ever

I have Double Dragon 1 and 2 for the NES as well as the movie on VHS I preferred the first one because I found the second got insanely difficult way too early. Is there a third...? If so, I might actually have number 2 and 3, but not 1. I can't remember now. EDIT: I'm pretty sure I have 3, but don't know if I have 1 or 2, but I do have one of those.

i think that double dragon 2 for nes was superb and remains my favorite in the series
