Topic: do you like mario kart wii or double dash better?

i like double dash cause it gives me a nostalgic feel.

I prefer Double Dash, the tracks are better, it seems less biased towards the losers and I think being able to hold two items adds a bit more strategy

Double Dash because it isn't MKWii.

I've had about 20 races with Double Dash online, but about 10,000 (ish) with Mario Kart Wii. I love Double Dash sooo so much, played it through first time in co-op, it was amazing the extra control you could get with good team work, switching on the fly, but... MKWii for me. Difficult to master (unfairly I'll admit), which makes it all the more rewarding when you pwn. Wahoo!

Why did everyone hate DoubleDash anyway? I heard a lot of people didn't like it for some reason.

Doubledash all the way for me, I like MKWii but purely for nostalgia reasons I will always pick Doubledash over it.

Damn that's though. I love both. DD was my first Mario Kart ever and it was a very unexpected surprise. MKWii is more towards a mainstream audience and I liked it. DD has a more speedy gameplay while MKWii is more about combat.

I think DoubleDash is the best (and 64 the worst). I really loved this Mario Kart game and it isn't as unfair as the Wii version. On the other hand, the Wii version have a good online play and I love the Wii Wheel, but because of the unfairness I will always choose DoubleDash.

What? MK64 is awesome! It is way better then MKWii.

Oh...well I dunno what to pick, DD was fun with the two driver thing...and Wii, well...because it feels more classic-ish...? (also online, lol)
I miss the Special items from DD though, loved the Chain Chomp one. XD

I really loved MK DD. Each character had a special weapon, why didn't nintendo put this into MK wii? The courses were great, this game was legendary. I don't know how to compare it to MK Wii, they're quite different, each with their ups and downs.

Gotta love every single Mario Kart but I think if any is better than the Wii one that probably the DS version, not the GC.

i remember when my friend and i played double dash, we used one controller and switched off everytime the driver switched

anyway, i think double dash didnt have that many cool carts, most of them were really boring because of the simpleness and the similarity to others. but double dash was just overall more fun, so DD

Mario Kart Wii over Double Dash any day.

Oh yeah I forgot different characters having special weapons... That was another added element of strategy. I also thought DD looked better for it's time, but that's probably a hardware issue

Double Dash is better in nearly every category. A lot more strategy involved.
Mario Kart Wii is good fun, but it feels a bit random and unfair at times. The online kicks butt, though.

A couple of you above are crazy, MK64 was the worst of the series. Double Dash vs. MKWii is a tough choice; I'd say neither overall, each had its strengths. For 4-player local, though, DD all the way, with its team-up mode. So much better than 4 tiny screens, with all the added hilarity of watching teams fall apart or bicker as they try to switch roles.
