Topic: Diddy Kong Racing Wii

Since the issues with Rare will prevent the original from coming to the VC, how about they just remake the darn game? They can replace Banjo and Conker with Dixie and Tiny. If necessary, they can keep the DKR DS voices (Taj would be understandable).

The controls would be the wheel, the classic controller, or the Gamecube controller.

I just want them to expand Mario Kart to Nintendo Kart, Link would have an Epona Kart of course and Captain Falcon's Kart is already there. Fox and Samus wouldn't too hard to put Karts to either.

In relation to this I can't wait for Chocobo Racing 3D.

You know why Rare did a Diddy Kong Racing DS? Because Microsoft isn't in the handheld market.
As for the Wii; Microsoft has Xbox 360 as you know so I see the chances of a Diddy Kong Racing released on the Wii by Rare as 0.

Nintendo could, though, which is what he's suggesting.

Never liked the original, myself. Not enough interaction between different vehicle types. Felt like racing on different race tracks at the same time, for the most part.

I thought when he said "they" he meant "Rare" since it's the only company he mentioned in his post.

I thought it was clear enough. There can't be an "issue with Rare" if Rare is doing the remake.

I meant Nintendo doing the remake, not Rare.

I wouldn't want a remake, but a game similar to it with heaps of new courses and a better Custom editor and online I would be in. I wouldn't want Dixie or Tiny, liked neither of them but it would be cool if more of Nintendo's animal characters to come in.

However, I would like a Nintendo racer like SEGA Racing, but with a Track Editor.

I'd like to throw my hat into the ring on this one. An all new Diddy Kong Racing Wii please. New characters, new tracks, wiimotionplus support for flying stages, on-line etc etc...

I wouldn't want a remake. The original wasn't even a good game and the handheld version was just terrible. There are so many better racing games out today so a remake or a sequel won't stand up against the competition. Nintendo just needs to focus on making the next Mario Kart the best it can be by adding a track editor, better items, and better online play.

Just because Banjo was edited out doesn't mean they never had a chance of using him. He appeared (as a statue) in Viva Piñata: Pocket Paradise. Therefore it's not entirely out of the question for Banjo to be on a Nintendo system. Conker on the other hand...

That was a DS game made by Rare. Rare is not allowed to make Wii games, so yes, it is out of the question for Banjo to be on this hypothetical Diddy Kong Racing Wii. Rare owns Banjo and Conker.

Whatever happened to that Donkey Kong racing game for the gamecube where they raced on the animal friends and the like? I think it was dumped even before launch, but I'd like to see that finally come out.

I'd love a new Diddy Kong Racing, I like it better than Mario Kart 64. However, the DS remake was disappointing.

If anyone is going to make Diddy Kong Racing, I wolud like Rare to do it.
I know there gone from Nintendo, but I'll like for they, try to make something like "Rare Racing" with all the Rare Characters.
A Story with all the Rare Characters are older (but Diddy kong), and there here for some kind of Prize.
Some is for Money or Power, and Some (like Diddy Kong) is to save someone (like Donkey Kong).

Since Rare Characters have gotten Darker.....but I'm just Brain Stoming, it not like this is going to happen...

Don't know if Rare should make it, the Rare of today isn't the Rare of the N64 era.

Btw, should Wizpig return as the main villain? Yay or nay?
