Okay I play thought this game, but I found it kind of short. If they where going to make the game this short they should have done this game in episodes. The story was a little vague and felt like there was room for side storys. Like what happened to Lance Bean and what happened to Brownie after the other Contra members took off. It said she returned home to fight.

If they let me played those storylines in another 5 or at least 3 stage misson this game would feels more complete. Right now as it it if feel like a strange half a game.

If you play Contra for the story, you're doing it wrong.

Well can they at least make it seem like they have some idea of a story. Mind stage cut scenes just seem like bios of random people with the word "Contra" put in. I play for the shooting things but it's like Uwe Boll wrote the scrip for this game.

That's the point.

Five stages was a bit shiesty, 8 stages would have been perfect.

A) Contra games aren't about story. They're about blowing the ever-loving crap out of alien scum.

B) Contra games have always been short on levels. Contra III is a mere four stages long if you don't include the two short, oddball overhead levels.

The Contra games aren't about length, they're about difficulty and constant action-packed goodness. Took me forty-five minutes to beat ReBirth on Easy, about an hour to beat it on Normal and I can only imagine it's going to take me a very, very long time to master both Hard and Nightmare difficulties on a three life cap. That's what the Contra games have always been about.

I'm just saying if they are going to make a game this short they could more then one game or missons just as long as this one was and make them into episodes. How does giving us more of what we want a bad thing?

I'm still debating whether to get this game or not. I knew that it was going to be short like Gradius ReBirth but the fact that the game is so easy is what is keeping me from purchasing it.

One could say that it is a mere 6 stages.

It's still hard if you play above Easy.

With 2 players it's a blast. You die a lot and it's very hard to see whats going on. LOL We finished easy and normal. Unlocked 2 characters. Trying out hard next time. Just mindless killing. LOL
