I bought this game yesterday and I have one quick question. I can't seem to figure out how to save my progress. I haven't the foggiest idea as to how save it. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
Not terrible, just the way the classic games were. Who wants to be able to save in a game like this? It's not that difficult to beat the game, even on hard if you put in the time.
This isn't a classic game though, there's no reason not to include the ability to resume progress.
I don't want to repeatedly put in the time though, on Hard stage 1 & 2 aren't that tough but they still take about 20 minutes (they aren't much fun either), then you get to some hard levels that require practice (I'm still working on getting to the miniboss in Stage 3, that second section gets me every time). Lots of people don't have the time to stop and sink a few hours into a game at a time, there really is no reason for them to have left the ability to save out.
I think gamers are getting too soft nowadays. And if you have to go, just leave the Wii on. I've left mine on all day at times. It doesn't get any warmer than it does leaving WiiConnect24 on.
It's a classic-styled game, though. While I wouldn't mind a save system, I do like a game that makes me learn the levels, so the lack of a save feature isn't much of a problem. Once I learn the levels, it shouldn't take much more than a single hour to beat the game, if that.

I'd rather not needlessly waste electricity, although admittedly I did take a break for a few hours yesterday, while on normal mode.
The length that one chooses to spend playing a game shouldn't really be used as an indication of how soft one is as a gamer...
Yeah, Digiki is the most hardcore game I know! After all, he can beat Kirby 64, and Super Mario World, and can tolerate Fire Emblem for more than 5 whole minutes! It doesn't get much harder than that.
Meh, I still love the Castlevania's on ds. The ablitily to jump anywhere and not have to press "up" to go up stairs is awesome for me. You guys can have the classic Castlevania games I much prefer the "new age" ones.

Super Castlevania IV was a pretty big game, so a password system makes sense, but this game is only 6 levels so after a few playthroughs you should be able to get through it in a couple of hours. For me that's a luxury, so I've not been able to do it. I would have liked a password system or auto-save because I generally only get an hour a day on the Wii, but I can see why they didn't bother with it.

Yeah those games are awesome. Also they feel like the 2D Metroid by their style.
