Just noticed on Kotaku... Been looking for a suitable game to be my free one and Blaster Master would definitely fit the bill. Hopefully it'll get here before that offer runs out...

Lemmings has a huge one... That franchise was made by DMA Design (aka Rockstar North) and owned by Psygnosis... Which later on came to be known as Studio Liverpool... Meaning, it's wholly-owned by Sony these days... So that would be unlikely...
Wait, I thought Sunsoft was a defunct publisher. But anyway, great news and we should expect a page soon. Time to make last minute change to my prediction list.
BTW, If Commondore games can arrive on the Virtual Console, why not Ocean 7 or Acclaim games? All three are defunct publishers.
Well they are still around, but they just publish Korean games. Might be nice, but most of their games' rights moved to other companies (Turok -> Disney, NBA Jam -> ead: Midway, etc...).
Glad to see Blaster Master is coming, haven't played this game for a decade, and at most as a 3-day rental.
@NotEnoughGolds: Ah, The Guardian Legend. I never noticed the similarities between those two bosses. I still think that The Guardian Legend and Blaster Master are spectacular games. I am so excited that Blaster Master is finally coming and I really hope that we will see The Guardian Legend show up on the VC too.
I truly feel sorry for anybody who's missed out on this epic game. The music is some of the best the NES has to offer. The addition of having save states is great too since you couldn't save in the original. It didn't even have passwords which meant a gamer had to have plenty of time and devotion back in the day to finish it.

You misspelled Hart. And I really really want to see TGL on VC even though I already have the cartridge (I have BM as well), just because I want everyone to experience that masterpiece.

I wonder if we can get someone who knows the Korean language here and get them to contact Acclaim about the Virtual Console about franchise they still own.
