THIS MONTH!!!!

http://www.sunsoftgames.com/news/2009-12-03%20Blaster%20Maste...

Quoted from the site, in case someone is unable to open the link for whatever reason:

"The first title out of the gate for Sunsoft USA will be the Wii Virtual Console release of the Nintendo Entertainment System classic Blaster Master, due in December 2009. Originally titled Meta Fight in Japan, this groundbreaking game was given a story makeover and released in 1988 as Blaster Master™ here in the United States. It received strong critical acclaim and fan raves almost from the moment it hit these shores."

Excellent news! I think a forum topic was brought up about this game a month ago. Nice to have confirmation of it coming and really soon to boot!

Future Wii purchases:
Super Mario Galaxy 2
Metroid: Other M
Zelda Wii
New Super Mario Bros. Wii
Sin and Punishment 2

Wait, I thought Sunsoft was a defunct publisher. But anyway, great news and we should expect a page soon. Time to make last minute change to my prediction list.

BTW, If Commondore games can arrive on the Virtual Console, why not Ocean 7 or Acclaim games? All three are defunct publishers.

Awesome! I got the cartridge. Maybe I should play it again soon (I could only get as far as the second stage, iirc). Fun game, from what I remember (haven't played it in a while).

I thought this topic was another "I want Blaster Master on the VC thread" Awesome news and hopefully more Sunsoft games are on the way!!!

Please consider Batman Sunsoft, even if you have to charge additional Wii points.

Well apparently, Sunsoft's back to publishing games in NA, with some help of the newly formed Gajinworks studios, if I'm reading what's on the site right.

Batman is a liscensed game...
Then again, most of Sunsoft's games appear to be liscensed. Maybe they're working something out?

Haven't really played it yet, but Ufouria/Hebereke was supposedly a pretty good exploration game. I wonder if that has a chance?
I'd be surprised if Aero the Acrobat doesn't appear on the VC now.

Pretty cool. I don´t think Blaster Master is among the best titles Sunsoft made, but the music rocks. Ufouria, Batman, Gremlins 2 are my faves.

That's nice to hear, now even licensed games from them have a chance, although they are still unlikely.
