I just noticed that Sin and Punishment had another clearance sticker beneath the one that said $11. It was originally marked down to $25, and I guess it didn't sell, so they dropped it again. I'm amazed Punch-Out wouldn't have sold for $25; that's an awesome price for a great game. Haven't played S&P yet, and probably won't for some time (holidays, friend visiting, NEW VEGAS...oh, and that job I have, or whatever...) but I've been wanting to try it, and you can't go wrong for that price. I'll need to check this section more often!

@Wizzy: chiwii explains above where you should be able to find that section. If you can't locate it, just ask an employee at your local store. It's worth checking!

@wario: Yeah, I skipped out on Starfy too. Mainly because I've got a heck of a backlog as it is...I'm sure it's a great game, but I can definitely wait for it.

Holy crap, I gotta check this out! Luckily I have a two hour break from work tomorrow, so I'll be there for sure.

At cheapassgamer.com, various users have confirmed the deals above, but some are also reporting the following at their local Target stores:

Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles (wii) for $9.98
Red Steel 2 (wii) for $7.48

I didn't see either of these at my local Target today, but I'll probably check back this weekend to see if anything has changed. I'd certainly pick up Darkside for that price.

Going to Target BRB.

Ok im back, my target didn't have any games left besides a Green Day Rock Band someone was hiding. I figured they would be gone clearance items fly fast. maybe I looked in the wrong section? IDK I just checked for fun.

They did have 8 dollars off a lot of newer games like Goldeneye 007 for example.

If anyone isn't already familiar with Target clearances - I think most Targets put their clearance stuff on the back end-caps. I usually find clearance games on the back end-caps in the entertainment department, near the tvs. There's typically a big red "Clearance" sign at the top.

I dont know about the Targets in other areas but the ones in mine also have a few shelves of Clearance games up by the front registers as well. Usually on the front right around by the candy bars and stuff.

I didnt see it but I wasnt really looking for it since I already have it. Mostly what I saw was several copies of Street Fighter 4.

From my experience, the clearance shelves by the front registers contain more generic budget or clearance titles, while the small, unassuming rack hidden near the back of the games aisle, as described by Chiwii, is where you might see these ridiculously cheap bargains, shoved together somewhat haphazardly amongst slashed PS3 and 360 games. I'm sure it varies somewhat from store to store, though.

I didn't see Punch-Out! at my store. The best bargains here were Sin and Punishment, Starfy, and Rhythm Heaven. Each of those was priced at or under $14.

Oh man, I'd totally pick up Red Steel 2 for $7.49. In fact, I have to go BACK to Target today since I forgot something, so I'll pick a different location (there are a bunch near me) and hope I find that. Thanks for the heads up, ww.

I'm back from the store, well actually store*s* (went to two targets) and I'm glad I made time to visit them. Of the games on super-sale, the first store only had Rhythm Heaven ($20.95) and Legend of Starfy ($20.95).
The second store had Punch-Out ($24.95), Final fantasy Crystal Bearers, Red Steel 2, Rhythm Heaven ($14.95), and Glory of Heracles ($14.95). I got the last copy of Punch-Out and stood proudly in front of the many copies of Rhythm Heaven as I played my own!

Both stores had ample $20 "discount" shovel-ware games, although there was the occasional quality brand name. Some included Your Shape, Rock Band, and Lego Rock Band. Judging by the difference in prices of Rhythm Heaven, it seems like the prices of the discounted games vary by store. Seeing as these games are "only available online" according to www.target.com, these prices might be regulated by the store managers.

Any good deals on ps3 games? That s&p deal sounds really tempting..... If its even at my target

BUY SOMETHIN WILL YA!

Philip_J_Reed

So my other Target didn't have any discounted games at all. Booo!

I did see PS3 and 360 games at the first Target I went to, though, Blink. Can't recall what was there specifically (apart from Green Day Rock Band) but there were a few.

I'll have to keep an eye out for that Red Steel deal though. Now I want it. Also, if I do find another copy of Punch Out that cheap, I'll let you know Kaiser. It might be worth checking the store around you, though!

Deals were nowhere near as good at my target. No Punch Out, Sin and Punishment was $25, Red Steel 2 was $30, Starfy was $20. I'm going to need to check another Target sometime.

I am way too lazy to think of something clever.
