So yeah, sales for the month. Not much going on along the Nintendo front, although due to the lack of new games this month, New Super Mario Bros. (for DS... not Wii, DS!) was #5, despite being released over 4 years ago. Just below it was New Super Mario Bros. Wii, and a few spots above it was Super Mario Galaxy 2. Wii Fit Plus also squeaked into the top ten. Wii and DS sales were down from last year and below the Xbox 360 (which of course had price drops and new models released recently.....) which of course means NINTENDO IZ DOOOOMEDD!! Just like last year
As for other stuff, Madden 11 was easily the top game of the month, with Mafia II being the only other debut of the month, although it still finished below 3 month old Galaxy 2. Xbox 360 topped with over 350,000 units sold while PSP brought up the rear, not even making it to 80,000 units for the month.

The NSMB DS thing is the perfect example of how Nintendo operates. They put out excellent, solid titles that will always sell, an aspect of the gaming market that MS and Sony haven't been able to realize or capture, even with their big high-profile titles.
