Simple as that. I'm wondering, since they released Ocarina of Time, do you think they'll also do the same with Master Quest. Personally, I don't think so, because the people who really like Ocarina that much probably got it a long time ago whether as a promotion for The Windwaker or later.
Yeah I bet they will in the distant future. It's another way for them to make lots of easy money. I'd guess that it will show up on the VC of Wii's successor.
"The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Master Quest is a more challenging version of the original hit for the Nintendo 64, Ocarina of Time. Master Quest, originally named Ura Zelda in Japan, was released for the Gamecube on a special bonus disk, sometimes packaged with The Wind Waker. It includes modified dungeons and Golden Skulltula locations to give players another classic challenge, as well as slightly improved graphics and frame-rate."
Still, I stand by what I said. The only way it'll be re-released as a downloadable title is on WiiWare, but that'd be pretty pointless seeing as it is already playable on the Wii.

I don't see why it would ever be on WiiWare. WiiWare are original titles by third party developers. Also, They have all kinds of old game compilations (Namcomuseum, Sonic Mega Collection) on the GCN, also playable on the Wii, yet they still released those on VC; why should this be any different?
I could maybe see this game being released someday, maybe as a "64 DD" special import event, just so Nintendo can also bring out any other 64 DD games. (I have no idea how bad it flopped in Japan, but I'm guessing there were a few games at least)

That's not really impossible but I wonder if they will because it was technically a GameCube game.
Why does no one know this? It was released for the Nintendo 64 originally; not the Gamecube. It never made it to the states, though; it was only in Japan.

True. My bad. I just looked it up and you're right. But still...it wasn't originally developed as a Gamecube title
It was only released in Japan though and given Nintendo's track record of fully translating Japanese RPGs for release on the Virtual Console outside of Japan means we probably won't see it. I don't think they'll make the effort to do so even if all it takes is porting the Ocarina of Time script to the Master Quest version.
Edgey, Gumshoe, Godot, Sissel, Larry, then Mia, Franziska, Maggie, Kay and Lynne.
I'm throwing my money at the screen but nothing happens!
But this one was already translated for the GCN release. They wouldn't have to do it again. Literally all they'd have to do is put the emulated GCN game on VC instead
