Would it be possible for Nintendo to come out with an arcade stick? They could call it the Wii Advantage and make it compatible with all arcade ports, not just VCA.

Making a 3rd party arcade stick which is a re-mapped Classic Controller, would be.

That'd work.

Joystick = D-pad
Top Left = X
Top Right = Y
Bottom Left = A
Bottom Right = B

They'd have to do four buttons to account not only for SNES arcade ports, but also for arcade games such as Street Fighter II.

No. It would be impossible. There's no way they could ever do it. =P

(Seriously, is this a real question?)

I know that there are several videos on youtube that show you how to build your own arcade stick. From what people have told its pretty easy and doesnt cost a whole lot either.

I built arcade sticks for my Jaguar and Playstation, but with the advent of dual stick pads I really don't see the point as I can do what I need to do with them. Playing a breakout game with a knob would be nice, but given the games aren't programmed to support them (Tempest 2000 for the Jaguar is the only game I can think of where the programmer coded for a non-existant rotary controller - and yes I did build one for mine) there'd be no point to that either.
