Command & Conquer 1 and/or Red Alert in higher resolution (like NBA Jam) with the fantastic original soundtrack, playable with Wii-mote controls...

Well, I actually managed to get through the N64 version, and a Wii version couldn't be worse than that..

But really for strategy games the iPad is a superior device, so I probably wouldn't bother with a Wii version. If other people would find value in it, though, sure, why not?

Surely it's better to just play it on you laptop with a mouse. You can buy the whole collection very cheaply if you want.

Agreed. I'd love to play it on one of those iPad things. Wait, is it on the iPad already? It is! The hell! If I had one I'd get it right now.

Red Alert is on iEverything, I believe. I have on iPad, and it's great. Big screen plus touch controls = strategy heaven.

A RTS game with wiimote controls? No thanks.

I've been saying for years, that the Wii would be the perfect platform for RTSes. After the compy, of course. I don't know how people even play them with standard controllers. Sitting on the couch, using the Wiimote's pointer to drag boxes around stuff, and make menue selections, seems like a good fit to me.

I'm not sure about C&C, though. I've grown kind of tired of it. The older versions anyway. Hmm, actually, I'd probably pick it up for Wii, if there was a nice non-friend code needing multiplayer mode. =)

Anyhoo, RTSes on Wii? Yes, please.

Standard controllers don't work for RTS titles either, but that doesn't mean the Wiimote would fare any better. You need a keyboard and mouse to do well unless you really want to dumb it down.

only use the arrow keys with RTS games and the mouse...
so nunchuk or d-pad for the arrow keys on a keyboard and pointer as the mouse?

Well, actually i got the idea by playing trough Broken Sword, a classic point & click adventure, and this time on the Wii (first time i played it was actually on the Playstation using a controller). It works fantastic, and the Wii could definitely could use some of these classic titles that are mainly 'cursor'-based.

I prefer touch pads for that. It wears out my arm to have to hold it up all the time. Oh wait, I can just point it with my wrists! Still, I'm lazy, sooo...iTouch it is. I would check out a Wii version of C&C, though, just 'cuz I love the series.

I read that the fantastic The 7th Guest is also available now on the I-pad...

Ah yes, I've heard of that game. I might want to check it out, but I hear it's a horror game.

Also, just tried the free version of C&C. I loved what I played, and I'll probably keep the demo for a while until I can afford the full version.

It's a point & click adventure with very difficult, challenging puzzles. But the game is also (black) humorous because of the antagonist that created all those puzzles. Yes, it is a spooky kinda game, but not really horror by today's standards. It also was one of the first games that was exclusively released on the CD-ROM format in early 1993. Instant classic.

Nah. Maybe, but from the looks of that screenshot they're gonna have to really spruce up the graphics.
