Whats so bad about cycling, i dont have the game yet im getting it in september. All those forums about rating the games cycling is always like a 2-5 never higher!

I tried cycling with some trepidation given all the bad press, and was surprised to find I really enjoyed it. The controls are far from broken, as some sites suggest, and while it is a bit exhausting there are other chill-out sports you can try afterwards. It's great.
Wii FC: 5412 0162 6187 3594 Brawl FC: 0517 4738 5514 Why do I want to bring back Pluto? Cuz the 8 others bullied it and I don't approve of bullying and I am here with this pointless movement to remind people of how (in)significant it really is!
I had a 3-stage race for breakfast and it was great! I love trying to beat my times, it's much deeper than i ever thought it would be. I do get annoyed though when someone knocks me off my line, graaargh!
I can't rate the games just yet (still not played 'em all) but when i do, cycling will get a shiny 8 from me.
The controls are wonky for me. The game seems to make me do a wheelie when I just want to go forward. It's annoying.
Maybe it's all those torches on your back.

Cycling is actually one of my favorite games in Resort, in fact it's my "Most Popular" according to the game. It takes a lot of skill, timing, and tecnique. I'll never understand the hate.

@BringBack Pluto: Good luck with that. They're in a secret underground vault 1000 feet under Zimbabwe, guarded by an explosive mine field, two golden elephant statues complete with state of the art weaponry, and a French-speaking Vietnamese guy named Phil.

I've always liked it. I think this thread is just attracting all the people that actually like it. This might be one of those things where most of the critics just genuinely didn't understand the game--because your instinct tells you to waggle as fast as possible. But doing that doesn't work. Or maybe people felt like they HAD to hate on it because everyone else was. Idk.

I would like cycling better if the controls weren't wonky for me as well. I've tried several different methods, but i too get the frequent wheelies and usually jerky sort of movement. I guess maybe it's me; i also seem to have frequent "wonky-ness" in the canoe game.

I've never had this problem. I had no idea a wheelie was even possible (though I've tried). Haven't had any problems in Canoeing either.

The canoeing thing i think is more just me overcompensating with the M+. But cycling, i don't know what it is. I try doing it any variety of ways (fast or slowly or steady or whatever) and it still is kinda choppy. The wheelie thing was more when i first started playing it and happens less now that i've played it more, but the choppiness remains. I imagine it's just a timing thing on my part, but i haven't been able to get it right. Perhaps i just need more time with it.
