Hello there, I was trying to expend 20 bucks on a game from the WiiWare store that has good 2 co-op mode: Do you think Bomberman and BubbleBobble are a good choice? Thanks!
Bomberman is not really co-op but more versus, but Bubble Bobble definitely is. In fact, some level are hardly even possible to finish unless you're playing with a friend. For co-op play it's probably one of the best WiiWare titles out there. Otherwise there's Icarian/NyxQuest which is a great co-op game if you don't mind that you both will do completely different things (one person controls the character, the other the powers). Might be the truest co-op game available since you'll be truly dependent on each other to do anything eventually... On top of that the single player version, which is just you controlling both power and characters yourself, is kinda like a new game entirely even though it takes place in the same levels since it require much more of you in terms of multitasking and vision.
However, if you're up for a VC game, I can't think of a better co-op game than Secret of Mana. If you haven't played it yet, do it immediately. You'll need 2 Classic or GameCube controllers (of similar) but believe me, it's totally worth it.
Well, Niki I unfortunately own so I have had the "pleasure" to experience the frustration first hand... And BitBoy!... It's a poor man's Pac-Man... Like Wizard of Wor poor. And since it's basically about tracing paths, I can't see their being much hidden depths to it. What you see is what you get...

1. Niki isn't that frustrating. Play with the Retro control scheme. The controls take a little bit of getting used to, but after that, it's not that hard to move. 2. Pac-Man was about tracing paths, too. Lots of maze games are. And there's Warp mode in Bit Boy, which is addicting. (Beat Classic Mode to get Warp Mode.) Do you even own Bit Boy?

1 Would never think of playing any other control mode. And while sure, you get kinda used to it, you still have to fight with the game to get him where you want him and that never ever becomes fun. 2 Didn't say that tracing paths are necessarily boring, I said that a game that has that as its main focus is fairly easy to get a handle on by just watching it being played. And no I don't own Bit Boy!, not a big fan of maze games in general (with a few exceptions for some maze hydrids like Bomberman), I feel there's a reason why that genre died and it would be ludicrous for me to blindly trust Bplus again.
1. I rarely have problems controlling Niki. 2. Bit Boy becomes much more intense when you actually aim for high scores, rather than simply blowing through the levels.

It needs an online leaderboard if the whole point is high scores That would motivate gamers 10,000 times more to play against the world, rather than by themselves.

Hey man Bubble Bobble Plus is cool, me and my friend can only get around level 50 before dying completely, Bomberman has awesome versus. If you want a VC game co-op go for Contra III or Mystical Ninja.
Those are fightin' words, friend. WoW is a classic that everyone should experience. I wish they'd release it on VCA. No way BitBoy will ever achieve this status, all respect to its developers.

Bplus doesn't have enough people, money, or time (3 developers) to add in online modes. However, on their website, they do have a thread containing the top scores for each generation. Just sign up and post your score.

Well, I've only played it once and I didn't like it... It just felt old and clunky... I don't know, maybe I could give it another go...
I'd go with Bubble Bobble Plus and Colorz. I won't draw myself into discussing the finer qualities of Bplus' work. Needless to say, a bad game is still a bad game - even when viewed through rose tinted glasses.
