Topic: ZombiU owns The Last of Us

ZombiU is quite underrated. Fun zombie survival horror(less of a zombie shooter which most zombie games are now) with a good amount of replayability. I myself want to do a replay eventually, probably play on survival mode(one life) or do regular mode but go through way less survivors.

@Wonkers Yeah, some critics misunderstood the game. I had enough ammo throughout the game. As long as you use your bat enough and not waste ammo you'll do fine. Plus, you can also fast travel back to certain areas to collect additional ammo and weapons.

I haven't played The Last of Us but I have Zombie U which I thought was a great game. Out of all the Zombie games I have played including Left 4 Dead 1, 2 , Resident Evil 4, 5, Revelations, Killing Floor and Dead Island. I would say Zombie U was defiantly something a bit different compared to most Zombie games these days. In Zombie U I loved the adventure, game pad features and Item storage along with some oh crap moments at times during the game.

I love it how so many users here loved the game and the Game Pad features. I wish there was... not a sequel but steady continuation of games like this on Wii U's horizon. Everything about ZombiU screams high quality. It's all very much well executed and shows what a triumph the game pad is and what exciting and inspiring games can be made on the console (and not on any other console).. But the costs and the state of the industry..... it's not going to be in anybody's plans anymore. Nintendo and indies are left with the task of making fantastic games like this in the future I guess.

I don't think you know what "underrated" means. It doesn't mean being rated low, but being rated lower than it should be. Being rated "under" its quality, if you will.
So arguing that something is underrated because it's a mess makes no sense whatsoever.

@WaveBoy there is a mode on ZombiU that yer can use a Wiimote & Nunchuk for player 1 while player 2 places zomblies on a map with the Gamepad... Actually you can play King of the Zombies by yourself if yer really want to also

Exactly, but it's not something that should even be put under consideration when reviewing. True Survival Horror's i.e Silent Hill, Resident Evil 0, 1 and 2-3 came out and the fact you had limited bullets was universally praised, that you had no choice but to run from some enemies. ZombiU brought that back for the first time in a decade or more and (albeit only one) website pulled it up for not having enough ammo.

Generally across the board though it was underscored. I can't help feel that the fact it's Metacritic fell short of 80 was responsible for it's poor sales. Whether people would like to admit or it or not (I even saw someone write this on the Scram Kitty review) there are those that won't buy games that get 7 out of 10. And ultimately it was the absolutely absurd 4.5 out of 10 from Gamespot that did for Zombi U.

You misunderstood what I meant entirely when I used the word "underrated" I was using it to show that the game wasn't "underrated" it was just a mess and that is why it received some low scores from reviewers (though imo quite a few reviewers were far to generous cough ONM cough).

Edit: If I had to score the game it would be an average 5 at launch (6 after they fixed some of the bugs).

Agreed.. The game really deserved at least 8's or 9's across the board.
Gamespot also gave Tropical Freeze a 6. They're completely worthless.
