Didn't know. Thanks! If you're curious, they gave the game a 3.5/5. I don't think they played the first Xenoblade Chronicles. Their negatives of the game were that the graphics could turn terrible sometimes and that there was too much grinding if someone wanted to play directly through the story.
Grinding? I actually heard there's minimal grinding, as long as you utilize the systems properly.
Now, who's actually right? It's hard to debate when you haven't played the game.

I don't care if grinding isn't necessary. I'll do it either way because that's one thing I love about rpgs gameplay-wise. I can get really buff and then relax and watch as I walk through the story with little to no challenge. Too bad it's a console game, though. Grinding on handhelds is better in my opinion.

I think it just depends what you define as grinding. I think what they're saying is that like the prequel, there are so many quests that those effectively cover all of the grinding. So it just depends on whether you consider random fetch quests grinding or not.

If you buy digital you don't need the packs right? 22 gb for the full game doesn't seem that much? What was all the fuss about then?

As for the data packs, I'm downloading them right this second. I hope my pre-order comes early - I had a dream that it arrived early last night, and I'm hoping it's an omen.
I'll probably begin downloading the data packs later today. I pre-ordered the special edition from Nintendo UK's store but they don't deliver to my country so I'm having to have a friend receive it and then mail it again to me :-/ Very impractical and far more costly than I would like. I really hope an extra €30 will be worth it for the special edition! Hopefully the art-book will be meaty enough
