You can still enjoy the single-player game without Wii remotes - Pikmin, Yoshi, Metroid and Donkey Kong (forget the others) work well with the GamePad. Obviously some of the games are designed for multi-player, but many have single-player modes (as above). The pachinko type game is great fun too.
And for about £10 it's defnintely worth getting NintendoLand anyway.
@zitpig: Those were actually my favorite ones, as I didn't really have anybody to play with. Add the Zelda game and racing game to the list..... So, I'd say, yes, it's worth buying. I'd pay $20 for those games alone.
