I'd happily pay $500AU, that's my limit for getting it early. Any less than that is just an invitation to buy maybe one more game for it... or a Pro Controller or something.

Right now as it is I don't seen Nintendo pulling a launch price snafu like they did with the 3DS. The launch price for the Wii in the US was 249.99 iirc and with the current prices of the Xbox 360 and the PS3 being at 299.99 I cant really see them going higher than 299.99 just for a system that so far most of the launch titles are ports of PS3/Xbox games. If they were going to say go for a price higher than 299.99 it will more than likely turn people off and it would be a repeat of the 3DS launch.
I'm gonna go say it's going to be about $300. From what I posted and one of the Best Buy computers shows the same, with the right SKU. Bestbuy listed the Midnight Purple 3DS earlier... I am thinking this might be true.
Ok THIS is the LAST time I going to reply on this forum. IF you want to estimate the cost of the WII U you need to add $100 on the current price of the portable. So that gives us $280. This is asumming though that the WII U comes with a tablet and the console only. Then if you add a game, a Wii remote, etc that can be up to $340 if each Nintnedo WII U game is $60 dollars. And the WII remote will lose it value due to the generation leap to $30. So all together this is $370. This is assuming this is some kind of bundle.
$400 is a ridiculously high asking price, which is what NL reported on, if memory serves me correctly.
I'm expecting a high $200- very low $300. Anything else will mean a price drop will occur within three months of the console launching IMO.
@GamecubeMan32 So that 2 isn't an exponent? I always thought it was...

Price only needs to be competitive so given the price of it's competitors I'd expect it to be priced about where the Wii was at launch. $388AU seems very reasonable IMO.... maybe too reasonable so it'll probably be closer to $450AU.
Will be a "do I get a Wii U and Pikmin 3, a 360/PS3 and four games or one of them 16GB WiFi only new iPads?" sort of scenarios
