Topic: Wii U Homebrew incoming!!!

It seems history is repeating itself as a group of hackers called "The Four Horsemen" are claiming to have hacked the Wii U making homebrew possible, I wanted to get fellow NL members opinions on the matter.

When I meant discuss I was not referring to downloading games illegally but the Effect on sales appeal to gamers etc.

Because Nintendo Giving away Unity Engines and possibly even Dev Kits wasn't enough for people...

I am worried cause these sort of things can cripple a consoles software sales just look at the PSP.

Yup, even if a small percentage of hackers don't pirate anything, bla bla bla. This isn't good news IMO.

when trying to play 2 player with my son it tells me to press + button to join game but nothing is happening... it was working a few weeks ago and now it isnt can anyone help me please?

If you look at the Gamepad, you'll notice it isn't retail. It's part of a devkit (as shown by the marking of the NFC on the left side. Devkits can run unsigned code from the get-go, whereas retail units cannot. This is not proof that this is running on a hacked retail unit. There is also a towel covering the top-portion of the Gamepad (which is where additional devkit hardware is placed), as well as the entire unit (which has a distinct color combination compared to retail units).

I for one don't believe it because there are too many questionable actions that are leading towards it being fake.

Hahaha good lord, I just watched the 'reveal' video and it was waaaaay too corny to be real. I don't think a legit hacking group would have debuted their work in that manner,
