Well we've done suggesting Battefield and the resultant fallout already, so I think we should go right back to the roots of FPS way before any of the fancy-schmancy more-than-one-player stuff and have us a HD Wolfenstein 3D.
Nothing more: no online, eShop-only, simultaneously released, and Gampad friendly.
If Wii U got Doom 3 BFG Edition (which contains Doom 1 and 2) that may have pushed me into getting a Wii U. But I went with a PS3 instead, where I can get all Doom games and Wolfenstein 3D (not on the Gamepad, but that doesn't bother me).
I want a first party FPS!!! Seeing as the FPS genre seems to be stuck in place right now it is up to Nintendo to make it fresh again!
Here is a new petition to get Metal Gear Solid Rising: Revengence on the Wii U!!!

I still think a spin-off series of Metroid would be nice. First person shooter where you play as Galactic Federation Army soldiers fighting against the space pirates. The Metroid universe has room for more than just Samus, I think. Mario has Yoshi and other spin-offs. Zelda has four swords, which is kind of a spin-off, but still tries to stay in with the main series.
Man I just hope whatever coming if it's something new, meaning new IPs they won't abandon support for wii remote+ and nunchuck because I'm actually still trying to find my fix right there, multiplayer-wise at least to move away from dual analogs and test some real skills for competition. Problem is I don't wanna just jump into the middle or the end of a series and feel like I've been missing out, and sci-fi is really about the only fps I'll consider.... ww/modern combat just isn't for me.
I'm hoping to see a Metroid Prime Hunters 2 realized on the Wii U, as it has both motion controls and stylus controls available. The Wii U also has the deepest online structure of any of Nintendo's systems, so to me it would be a great place to develop the game. I just hope if there is a continuation that all hunters can be playable in the single player.

Oh, um, wow. This is an amazing idea! I feel bad that no one else suggested it...

I'm not like a huge Hunters fan but that could actually be pretty awesome if done right. I'd love Nintendo having some huge, major class based online shooter of their own.
I'd actually more or less be itneested to see what, if anything, they could come up with as a Fusion sequel because back in the day you'd think that all ties would've been resolved after doing away with Zebes and the space piraes, but then we find X parasites copying their forms. Then oddly enough like a side-story/untold chapter is given to us as Other M.

the only fps that had any potential on the wii console was the conduit... but now on the wii u it's a different story.. I actually had a soft spot for the conduit series but how many chances are you're going to give high voltage??? (though its a second party game....)
the aliens game seems to be the only promising series at least...
i would love conduit 3, metroid back to fps, and some exclusive shooters on wii u, just like the conduit series. what are the chances of conduit 3 on wii u, come on sega please lol.
I may be mistaken, but I thought Sega ditched High Voltage Software... but if HVS found someone else to publish a new Conduit game, like Ubisoft for instance, then there's a chance they'd release another Conduit game. They've still got that Conduit related announcement coming "in the near future" too, so I suppose we should wait for that.
