Topic: What 3rd party games I'd want on Wii U

This is only partially a list of games I'd actually be interested on getting if it was on Wii U, this is also a list of games that would make sense for people to port to Wii U in some way or another. And anything I don't mention would likely not be something I believe would have a chance to live up to even reasonable sales expectations. Since, as stated in the past, just randomly grabbing every major 3rd party title to port would not suddenly making the console popular like magic.

-Anything by Deepsilver. As an up-and-coming publisher simultaneously becoming more relevant and also insulting much of the triple A game industry along the way...might be a good idea to have them around. Especially if both EA and Activision abandon the system, they could have a great "yeah, screw those guys" type of partnership.
-Timed exclusive Ubisoft games. I feel paying companies money JUST to get a port is pathetic for both sides and I'm glad that Iwata has spoken out against that. But timed exclusives come as more of a clever business decision, and the era of permanent 3rd party exclusives is getting close to over (sadly?) so I'd go with this. I honestly think this will happen with the next Rayman.
-WB. They have kid friendly games, and all the DC stuff. Don't lose it Nintendo! Especially Arkham Origins, which out of the HARDCOREYO 3rd party titles coming out soon, is probably the one most likely to really succeed on the console. I think it is at least.
-Everything Platinum. Unless Bayonetta 2 fails, I feel confident that this partnership will continue for at least the rest of the generation.
-Suda 51: This is one partnership where I'm just confused at what Nintendo is (or isn't doing). No More Heroes was one of the few 3rd party games that seemed to really work out on Wii, so the lack of recent titles from them on Nintendo systems just seems dumb. Next No More Heroes has to be on Wii U or Nintendo is just dumb.
-Everything Atlus. Yes. While I've not played too many Atlus games, I think if you're a fan of JRPGs at all, you should want them to be more successful than just "niche". Sony's cool and all but they didn't just let them have a crossover game (partially because Sony is less desperate?). Put Persona 5 on there and have Nintendo publish it and push it as a big deal. Or something.
-XSEED/Marvelous USA or whatever. Not sure how frequently they'll actually be publishing games on Wii U of all things, but XSEED's best selling game was publishing Last Story and they provided some of the most interesting games on any Nintendo platform in recent years.
-Comcept. Inafune's frequently praised Nintendo, so why not continue with new games from them.
-2K Games. Bioshock Infinite is guaranteed to get a GOTY edition in the next year, might want to take advantage of that. Because of how cool pointer controls are and the game being colorful looking and not COD-like, think it would get bonus points from Nintendo fans. Also, it will still matter in a year, unlike much of the recent AAA games people are somehow angry are not on Nintendo.
-Square Enix. Assuming they realize they were just being stupid...I dunno. It'll be spinoffs and such. I'm honestly trying to think of something I care about that SE would actually be interested in putting on, as they are so interested in impossibly perfect graphical fidelity that they'll run their company into the ground quicker than you can say Capcom. Maybe they'll get decent ports of their better iOS/3DS games or something on eShop? I dunno. The original 2 Kingdom Hearts titles (aka the ones I would care about) ported would be nice...

But of course, the only real answer is The World Ends With U! There is no justice until that happens, and you know it.
-Sega would be dumb to not support Nintendo, as Sonic on Nintendo is one of the only reasons people care about Sega anymore. Sonic might as well be a Nintendo character considering the incredibly good sales the series has compared to most 3rd party Nintendo console titles. Maybe they could make a new Nights or Samba De Amigo to apologize for the Wii versions.
-Capcom: Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate will happen. The new Megaman will be on it, if that ever happens. Anything goes for anything else though. They could have a ton of support, or no other support or anything in between, and I could believe almost anything would or would not succeed. I will say though, please Capcom, don't bother with new graphics for RE. That will add nothing to a supposedly survival horror series. They backpedaled immediately on the changes for RE6 from what I read, so maybe they'll learn. I honestly don't know.
Namco Bandai: I could see it getting a Tales of game and doing fairly well. I'd love to see Pacman Championship Edition.
Natsume: Haverst Moon/Rune Factory will never end on Nintendo I assume.
ThatGameCompany: So far Nintendo is missing the award winning, artsy game in their indie scene. As they are no longer Sony exclusive, let's fix that.
TellTaleGames. Step 1: Get Walking Dead season 2 as timed exclusive. Step 2. Sell consoles. Step 3: Thank me.
Rockstar: What did I just say? I mean GTA on freaking DS of all things sold a million, I think this might work out. Like Call of Duty, it is too popular to ignore.
Do I even have to mention Minecraft?

Also...
EVERY SINGLE COMPANY TO MAKE A POPULAR TURN BASED STRATEGY GAME IN THE PAST DECADE. MAYBE SOME RTS TOO. DO THIS NINTENDO, RIGHT NOW!

that is all

After skimming your post, I think you could have saved yourself a lot of time by just writing 'I want every game', since that's basically what you listed haha.

You won't see the Tales series on a Nintendo system because of Baba. -_-

Give me a Wii U EA Sports Tiger Woods game, and I'll be happy with 3rd-party titles. LOL. It's not looking good for the Wii U to get anything EA Sports, but I can hope!

Not really. Should I just list what I skipped?
First of all, basically outside of Bioshock Infinite (which would be a GOTY edition not coming out this year), I've cut out every game that came out this year as a possible idea for porting in any way. At all.

I am not pointing out many games from some of these companies. Capcom and SE's support will more likely than not be middle of the road. Much of this stuff is obscure or just not typical what you would think for hardcore games you'd want on your system (with stuff like GTA and Minecraft being so popular that they will sell anywhere at anytime, thus why they were included). I feel for the most part I did a reasonable job at keeping this realistic. Like, this essentially disregards almost any multi-console title shown at the other E3 conferences, outside of stuff already confirmed for Wii U. I could have done so much more, if it was just games I would want.

I should also say that the average theme you should get out of this, and what I honestly believe is the best, believable direction Wii U's library should go. A good variety of gaming in all regards (with stuff like Rockstar's titles and Minecraft to keep things relevant and popular of course), but with a focus on series with a hardcore fanbase whose popularity could be potentially improved/renewed via Nintendo.

I'd say alot of big games shouldn't really be missing out on being on Wii U.

I agree with most of your post. I think the only way Atlus ever got out of that "niche" type feelm they'd have to change the game. There's reasons why some games stay "niche" even though a it has it's fans.

As long as Wii U gets most of the future common multplat games, that should be more than enough to please most Nintendo people. I'm talking COD, Street Fighter, games like Destiny and basically everything Ubisoft or EA put out. There literally isn't an excuse, unless you consider politics. With the U.S. government being shut down, I can't even imagine who cares about politics.

I agree Atlus should do some changes in some areas, but I feel their slow rise (or so it seems) was just at a time when western gaming has taken over the mainstream over here. That and Atlus aren't spending tons on marketing or whatever, and have yet to draw the Dark Souls word of mouth card (which is odd considering the love Persona 4 and Catherine have gotten).

Dark Souls actually might be a really good one too...that might work on Wii U. Maybe have Nintendo help on the marketing side to be on the safe side. Be on the safe side, and From Software is another really upcoming game dev who I remember from the Lost Kingdoms days, so that could be a good choice. It would also be the ultimate proof about the system being hardcore.

Soul Calibur 2 HD. It did well on GCN, It's a good idea. At some point or another Street Fighter IV will be on the console. That goes without saying, Capcom will port/remake that game for as long as possible and for as many systems as possible.

Far Cry on Wii U. Imagine it. You have all your ammo, type of gun, map, and health on the gamepad screen, and the tv is completely free of HUDs! Like Far Cry 2 almost was. That's one big thing I didn't like about Far Cry 3 was how much stuff was on the screen. It was distracting!

Blizzard bringing an exclusiv wii u rts would be great and a money maker, since a big name company with good experience in the genre and the great inputs wii u offers.
But oh well i know it will never happen first blizzard is lazy and always pc first and then maybe some ports later on....

Oh and yeah the world ends with you sequel is a must since the ending was to open because the system wasnt crushed leaves a bitter note to know u havent saved the world or at least changed it

If you can do this while also using the Wiimote to play the game, it would be amazing.

Soulcaliber 2 HD
Strider HD
DOA 5 Ultimate
Monster Hunter 4
Monster Hunter Frontier G
Kingdom Hearts 3
Metal Gear Solid
No More Heroes 3
Pro Evolution Soccer
Star Wars Battlefront 3

That's pretty much all that I really want out of upcoming/future/potential 3rd party titles and if they all came to the Wii U then I probably wouldn't need any other console.

I think Nintendo should help Sega and Yu Suzuki with money to make Shenmue 3.
Will it make a difference in hardware sales? Hardly. But it would be a prestigious exclusive title that will get the Wii U noticed, at least among connoisseurs. Or better yet, they should directly get the whole Suzuki studio (whatever the name is nowdays - YS Net?) on their side, the same way they're doing with Platinum. I am confident the man hasn't lost his touch, and is such a shame to see one of the best developers in the history of videogames to be relegated to mobile phone games now.

Also, considering how much money Level-5 has made thanks to Nintendo, it is an insult that they have no intention of making at least one single Wii U exclusive title. Anyway, key words here are exclusives, exclusives, exclusives.

Top-10 games I played in 2017: The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild (WiiU) - Rogue Legacy (PS3) - Fallout 3 (PS3) - Red Dead Redemption (PS3) - Guns of Boom (MP) - Sky Force Reloaded (MP) - ...

I think it'll happen eventually. I'm just pleasantly surprised their new RPG is gonna be on Wii U at all.

Why not just use the traditional controls that the gamepad has?
