Good day,

My wife has bought in the UK some Disney infinity 3.0 Star Wars game/toys that she intended to send to relatives in Japan, however, I checked out these toys and it seems as if a starter pack is needed (includes the game disc for a console). The nephew in Japan has a Wii U, therefore would it be OK for me to purchase in the UK a Disney Infinity 3.0 Star Wars starter pack (the one with the Wii U game disc included) and send it to Japan - will a UK Wii U game disc work in a Japanese Wii U?

Sorry, Wii U is REGION Lock.
You CANNOT play PAL wii U games on Japanese Wii U.
You MUST use PAL Wii U to play PAL wii U games.

Sorry dude. Its region locked. Unless you do some intensive modding (wich could break the console) that I'm not even 100% sure exists, it will never work.

I do stupid stuff on youtube.com/mysticbros, so check it out if your bored or whatever.
Or don't, it's your time after all.

Good day,

Thank you for the replies.

It is not me that would play this game, but my nephew in Japan.

As there is a region lock, I will not buy the UK PAL version of the game here in the UK.

It will be better to purchase the JAPAN NTSC version of the disc in Japan so that it will be compatible with his Wii U console.

Thank you very much.

Merry Christmas.

Buy Freeloader, it's a disc that you put in before you put in the foreign game, the free loader disc makes the Wii able to play games outside of it's region lock. Though, I have heard that the last Wii update stops freeloader from working.
