Tweaking the sound would definitely improve the experience. I'm still not convinced about this game though. I think it's funny that after the trailer, a short piece of footage of Zelda U was shown. To me it kind of had the effect of ; Why buy TP HD when Zelda U looks better in every way and is right around the corner.
This game is totally just an apology for the Wii U Zelda Delay. That game won't be coming until Holiday 2016. This will make the Wii U the ultimate Zelda console with ability to play every 3D zelda game and three in HD. They better release Wii U VC versions of Ocarina and Majora for the 30th anniversarry as well (I am waiting for this to play Majoras mask for the first time on the gamepad).
I would hope that they would support Wii controls for this game as I am almost positive the Wii version far outsold the Gamecube version of Twilight Princess. They should give the option to the players.
I didn't realize OOT was out on Wii U. I had it on Wii and just never upgraded it. I beat it OOT 3D on 3DS so gamepad functionallity wasn't a big deal.
For Majora though I haven't played it since it's been sitting in the Wii Menu hoping to get upgrade pricing. I am much tighter on funds these days and decided to skip the 3DS version.
I will probably play Twilight Princess on Wii rather than get the HD version....I played maybe 20% of the game sharing a save file with my son the first time through borrowing it from the public library over and over (we beat the game on that save)...I have the game now and won't be able to justify 39.99 to play it in HD and you know thats what they are going to charge for it.
@Morpheel: I thought it was still available? I didn't realise they removed it from the store. It would probably make sense to just not count it then....

Toriel left for a while, so Freaky Fred took over her place!

Disclaimer: I love Wind Waker HD, just stating some facts in the following message also for reference watch this https://youtu.be/ajndmZ5B3a8?t=8m51s Ok here goes... To the people saying it looks no different than the Wii/GCN originals let me tell you a little secret. If you took the bloom, and dynamic shadows (the latter of which SHOULD be in TPHD) out of wind waker HD, it will look exactly like the orignal Wind Waker does on average when run on the dolphin emulator at 1080p (albeit with the original compressed textures, which were originally made at 1080p ironically but scaled down to meet the GCN's hardware requirements) , of course the games textures were uncompressed compared to the original gamecube textures. Again watch the video above to see what I mean.. What am I implying, Nintendo may have listened to the abundance of complaints regarding WWHD and decided to tone down on bloom and shading for TPHD, the latter of which does puzzle me but rest assured Twilight Princess HD is a huge improvement over this which i captured from my Wii U on my 40 inch 1080p HDTV. . So to those complaining that the textures were not updated enough, stop they were updated... the only thing this is missing is the bloom effects and the dynamic shading WWHD had, which I hope they do implement the shading at least because it would aid TPHD's style really well, as is TPHD is a brighter, cleaner, bolder version of Twilight Princess and the updated textures are a night and day improvement. March 4th you can't come fast enough, thankfully we got Xenoblade X to hold us over.
It looks better overall, I think we can all agree on that, but it could've looked so much better if they updated the 3D models as well (and updated some 2D textures to actual 3D models). The result is that it still looks dated, even for a Wii U game, I really wish they would've gone the extra mile and updated everything, rather than just the textures and lighting.
This game is totally just an apology for the Wii U Zelda Delay.
Even though Tantalus started working on this a year ago, at a time where Aonuma said publicly (on The Game Awards) that Zelda U would absolutely arrive in 2015?
Twilight Princess: HD is no more of an apology than Wind Waker: HD, Ocarina of Time 3DS, Majora's Mask 3DS or Xenoblade 3DS. Games with really long development cycles and lots of content make more sense to recycle, from a business perspective.
Personally, I think it's a smart approach to reveal TP:HD the way they did. Right now, everyone can just compare graphics. And when people get bored at doing that, Nintendo can start to reveal the other new features of the game.
