It's 1080p and 30fps, just like WW:HD. They went for resolution instead of fps. There's no Wii U 3D game at 1080p/60fps, so it's reaching the technical limits of the Wii U.
You just could say that Smash Bros. is the only WiiU game with 1080p and 60fps
(As far as I know)

What about Mario Kart?
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...
I think the lack of Wii remote option is disappointing but caused by Nintendo wanting to make a definitive version of the game. They probably want something that incorporates both types of controls and uses the GamePad well. I know I am interested in playing through the game again, this time with a lack of motion controls. I haven't played TP since the launch of the Wii, so we will see how it is.

@DarthNocturnal: Yeah, sure online has been miles better than Brawl it's still been pretty bad for me. But it's not a fixable problem because pretty much all fighting games suffer the same issues but to less degrees than others in the same genre.
As for TP HD, I'm looking forward to it even more now that more footage is out. It really feels odd seeing TP's Hyrule Field, Palace of Twilight and Gerudo Desert outside of Hyrule Warriors though due to already having played that game for around 420 hours since launch.

And Rayman Legends, and a couple of indie games (such as Runbow) as well. But all these games are 2D or 2.5D.
Yes, and Hero Mode has one of the Wii version's flaws as well, that's not present in the normal mode. Would make sense to have Wiimote support there, making it the "true" Hero Mode. Anyone who has the patience to use the inaccurate aiming of the Wiimote instead of the gyro is a true Hero.
How would the camera changes work with the Wiimote? There's only one stick.
What camera changes? The Wii version was fine without dedicated camera control, so I don't think removing them is too big a deal.
@iKhan Eh, I think you're being biased because you love the Wii motion controls so much that any game (especially Nintendo's) that doesn't support it is automatically "lazy."
AFAIK, iKhan doesn't even have a Wii U. It's just a Wii player who likes to make hypothetical arguments about the Wii U.

Just because I don't have a Wii U doesn't mean I will never play the games. The NX will probably be BC, and I'll pick up the handful of Wii U games I find intriguing then.
Alright, looking much better then expected. I was debating cancelling my preorder but will keep it now since its 20% off and NIntendo Wii U games hardly ever go below $50.00.

Those limits aren't a fixed product of resolution and framerate. They're a product of framerate, resolution and what's going on in the game and on screen. The Wii U is easily capable of running this game at 60fps.
It ran Wind Waker with selective bloom and real time ambient occlusion at 30fps. This game has neither.

And how about texture detail, polygon count, amount of data to process, depth of view? WW is just a couple of separate islands with extremely little texture detail.

Weird definition of trolling.
Polygon count is that of a gamecube game. I have no idea what "depth of view" means. And "texture detail" doesn't really mean anything in this context because you can have extremely detailed textures that are heavily reused and tiled or you can have extremely undetailed textures that are unique and very varied within a scene. The 2 of those can work out roughly equivalent. The actual proper measure isn't texture detail. It's total texture size in memory and how many separate textures are used. Both of those are "detail" agnostic.
Bottom line is if the Wii U can run Xenoblade X at 30fps, it could definitely run this at 60. That has much higher poly counts, many more textures, much more complicated lighting. etc etc.

I won't argue with both of you but I should tell you the fact: Xenoblade X is running at Native 720p/30fps.
The Wii U is obviously more than capable of running 10 year old games at 1080/60.
What's more important is how the animations and physics and stuff is tied to that framerate. The visual grammar. 60fps could break the game, as has happened with several games released on Steam where modders unlocked a 30fps cap.
So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.
If it still looks the same then idk what to say except those who wanted more were foolish to ask for it considering the last 3 remasters. I'm a little jealous that youtubers got the game a month earlier than us but I can live with it XD
