All the people who complain about Nintendo not making new IPs better buy this, just like how they probably bought Pushmo, Dillon's Rolling Western, Sakura Samurai, Steel Diver, Xenoblade Chronicles, The Last Story, Harmoknight, Lego City Undercover... Oh.
Pusmo and rolling western sold enough to do sequels. Also the threshold for sales differs greatly between eshop and retail games due to costs.
WAT!
Hey check out my awesome new youtube channel shingi70 where I update weekly on the latest gaming and comic news form a level headed perspective.
I am considering switching my Rayman pre order to this, as it does look interesting. Again, shame that it's probably gonna bomb this holiday season so then we can hear about how Nintendo supposedly never releases new IPs. If you want new IPs, buy new IPs. If you don't, then don't complain.
If Nintendo actually advertises this decently to the people who own a Wii U and future adopters, this could be a success and at most they can break a million copies. They have already started marketing on there Twitter page with "Wonderful Wednesday" but if they market this game for kids on TV like they did for Fire Emblem: Awakening they may be able to get enough for a sequel. Also they really should be doing demos in stores like they are doing now for Pikmin 3.
Anyway, aside from having various characters at the same time and maybe camera angles it's completely different from Pikmin. It's a fast-paced, action-oriented game. All heroes move in unison, but you select the leader and abilities change. Also I'm sure unlike some modern games this is going to be one which doesn't shy from being a challenging experience. It really has big potential but lacks recognition at the moment, it may not sold well at this rate...
OK so... how do we get more people to get hyped about this game?
You better make sure you clear up some space on your Wii U...and you better have a deluxe bundle at that. We've found out that the download version of the game takes up 10.2GB of space. Might be time to look into an external hard drive!
This will likely sell horribly and be overshadowed by Pikmin 3 even though this game looks awesome. What an effing shame.
I'm really worried. It is very low on Amazon sales (pre orders) .It's way down the Wii U list. It's important that it will do well, but so far it's not doing well despite having a release date.

I also think Xenoblade and Last Story did very well for JRPG's. Lego City Undercover on the 3DS also sold great.
Preview from electronic theatre Set for release later this month, The Wonderful 101 is looking set to become one of the most unique experiences of the summer not just on Wii U, but on all videogame platforms. This, of course, is exactly what Nintendo needs to raise the profile of their underappreciated home console. It may not be enough to sway public opinion alone, but for the core Nintendo audience that have stuck with the company through thick-and-thin it’s exactly what the Wii U’s software catalogue needs.
