I think Kid Icarus Uprising is the 3DS game that would work best on Wii U. But given how much content it has you'd probably harm NX sales that way.

@mjharper Either of those would make up for the recent drought for me.

Unfortunately, my guess is the chance is pretty much nil here. The Wii U simply isn't selling well enough to support another reveal, and the chances of the game being ready before the NX comes out are slim. So if Nintendo were planning anything, it's likely been moved to the NX instead.

I think at the most there will be 1 more game. But it will only be between now and March. After that, the chances of a Wii U title are 0. But that's ok. The console had a great run. Not killer but its games were classics

best case scenario, an mk8 dlc and some other random bone (nothing major, but somethingto be moderately excited about) they throw at us.

I don't think there will be a grand reveal like a new F-Zero, Metroid or any other major franchise or IP, but I wouldn't be surprised if they did at least one of or all of the following.....released loads of classic games on the VC, released another batch of Selects, released a couple of Indie Titles for physical release like they have just done with Fast Racing Neo, or, at most, released another classic GameCube/Wii game as an HD Remaster.

A Metroid Prime Remaster would be ace.
Whether that will happen or not, probably not I guess.

@Madder128 That's kind of what I was thinking they might actually do TBH. I know some hate the fact that the Wii U never saw a new Metroid, and there was all the revolt with the 3DS Federation Force not being a proper Metroid, so if I had to take a gamble, I'd actually say that a Metroid Remaster would be their choice, if for no other reason than to get people psyched up for the (probably) inevitable new Metroid that will come out for the NX, and by way of an apology of sorts, as I'd venture a guess that a new Metroid is probably the most asked for Nintendo IP franchise, along with F-Zero, although I doubt we will get that on Wii U as we already have Mario Kart 8 and Fast Racing Neo

@YellowFighter na we will get some kinda small downloadable thing I'm sure.

There will be nothing else from Nintendo for the U. They don't need to. The NES / Famicom mini consoles are going to make them more money this Xmas than any U game possibly ever could at this stage.

Paper Mario, Darksiders, Skylanders.... that's it unfortunately.

Add in the obscene amount of revenue that Sun and Moon are going to inevitably generate, along with the accompanying Z-ring toy thing, and hardware sales..... yeah, Nintendo already have Xmas in the bag without having to even bother with the WiiU.

And then they'll reveal the NX in the second or third week of January.

@-SD- you didn't think this through did you? You do realize all the third party games on that mini is a cut right?

@-SD- do forget the company they farmed the emulation to also gets a cut. The company who manufactures gets a cut. The console and controllers cost way more money to build then printing discs.
This will not make more revenue than splatoon that sold well over 4 million copies or Mario cart eight that sold even more and has dlc revenue to boot.

Like I said, at this stage in the WiiU's life there's no point spending money on development and advertising for any further titles. Previous games may have sold X million copies, but here we are at the end of the console's life cycle, with everyone anticipating the NX. The general public don't care about the WiiU, I'm sure that's quite obvious.

So yeah, I do believe that the NES / Famicom mini consoles will make Nintendo more money this Xmas than any U game ever could.

@-SD- i don't think we are getting any new retail games other than what's announced. I only think we will get small digital release that are on the nx and can be run on the wiiu. I don't believe the nes mini will make more cash than Mario Cart 8 has during its life for all the reasons I listed above.

Excluding Zelda, as far as Nintendo's releases go, I think Paper Mario is going to be their final curtain call for the Wii U.
A couple months ago I might have said that there will be one more reveal of some kind of remaster from the Gamecube/Wii, but I don't think so now.

It would not make sense since they released the Wii-version as download at a very good price

Well really, do we need a remaster of an already remastered game?

A port of one of the 3DS Kirby games wouldn't be a stretch.
