But yeah, I'm still looking forward to the direct. Maybe they'll announce more that we can be excited for, I think they would have enough time to add in a few more things. I'm really excited regardless of the leaks, but I still feel that waiting would have just made the experience all the better. Even if it's Nintendo's fault, I kind of wish people didn't go digging through files and announcing stuff they shouldn't be, it's like opening Christmas presents a week early and then putting them back under the tree without the wrapping on Christmas morning.

If there's one thing I can say about the leak, it's that someone at Nintendo was fired.

Wouldn't be surprised. Whole reason that the leak happened was... because of the accidental release of a patch containing the DLC in Japan, right? Then data miners found it. Well, with a few minutes to go; let's see if the min direct can bring the hype anyway.

Ryu is an actual fighting game character, should be interesting to see the play that comes from that and if we see any of the capcom fgc scene come over.

Ryu is only going to be really good in the hands of someone who know's street fighter or a capcom fighting game, even then he's probably going to be terrible in 4-8 man smash. He's going to be fairly great and versatile in for glory matches though, If someone can get down switching between his FG moveset and his smash moveset on the fly they could dominate most game modes.

I... don't know. Maybe they're suppose to be bread sticks?
