Wait... there's more than 15 newcomers right? There are 15 unlocks not newcomers, unless my mind is going crazy right now.

Lol I'm always biased, at least I can admit that, but still I think the main series should get more newcomers, well Mario already got enough, the others though...

12 unlockables (not including Mii) and 15 newcomers (Mii counted as 1)

12 unlockables... I hope Wii U has more unlockables, I liked the old days when I was unlocking characters, it was fun. They can make some unlocks like the way in Melee, I like how you unlock some of the characters in Melee... considering there will be no story mode.

To be honest, the only currently-relevant series (as in, with new games released in the second half of the past and current generation) that did not get anything new in the 3DS game (outside of Smash Run enemies) was Donkey Kong.

And even that's a Mario sub-series.

Yoshi needs new characters too! Dammit why does no one think of Yoshi!? >:[

Nobody kill me for saying this, but... I want Baby Mario & Baby Luigi playable as an Ice Climbers clone. Also, they would be a 2nd rep for the Yoshi series.

Bowser Jr. is kinda the same thing as Baby Bowser.

Although they originated in SMB2, Shy Guy has been mainly a Yoshi enemy.

Kamek should be the next representative from the Yoshi games.

If we have to have an abundance of baby characters, let's leave that to Mario Kart.

They're completely different characters.

It isn't kind of, they are different characters fact.

There's no need to repeat the obvious.

They are physically almost the same, and so you'd imagine they'd play rather similarly, however Bowser Jr uses the Clown Car to fight in smash Bros. so a Baby Bowser character could be quite different.

When looking at Baby Bowser's attacks at the end of Yoshi's Island, there would be a fair bit to go on.

Do you guys seriously want even more Mario representatives in smash?

Kamek would be a Yoshi rep.

But I would prefer Kamek was in it rather than Dr. Mario or Rosalina.

The proof of course being that Baby Mario and Baby Luigi are Mario and Luigi when they were babies so Bowser Jr. couldn't have existed at that point.
