Yeah, Hades can shrink himself. The too big argument doesn't work there. Now, the "too dead" argument does. If Smash is indeed following Kid Icarus canon (which it seems to be based on the Palutena's Guidence codecs), then Hades can't happen as he's dead. Though I suppose Sakurai could just say screw it and bring Hades back to life for Smash and set the stage for a new Kid Icarus at the same time if he wanted.

Remember the underworld army has great life insurance. Thanatos was able to come back to life.
Since when has Smash ever had some sort of timeline to where a character couldn't be in if he died in a game? It hasn't and never will. I don't understand why it's even being thought of as a reason Hades couldn't be in Smash. Smash doesn't even have a story, so it's not like time would have passed since Pit was in Brawl. If they want him in, he gets in. No explanation for being alive, they just put him in.

Ha! You win.
Anyways, I have a gut feeling that they're working on Wolf anyways for release later this year. The Fighter Ballot is open until October 3rd, meaning which ever character comes from that won't be available until March/April of next year. Lucas is coming in June of this year. That's an awfully big gap. There's a new Star Fox at the end of the year too.

The reasoning for that is that there's evidence that Smash 4 is actually following Kid Icarus canon, unlike every other franchise that's represented (minus the stab wound in Ganondorf's chest, which was a nice touch).

Hopefully there is, sadly with the Zelda delay I'm not holding out hope.

Could you post a link? I want to see what you're talking about.

He may be referring to the Palutena Guidance Convo with Dark Pit.
Couldn't find a separate video so go to 28:50 of the video.

Yeah, but wasn't that because of Hades? One could argue that the power to put new souls in Gods again rested with Hades alone.
Yeah, I was referring to the Palutena's Guidance for Dark Pit. Seeing as how Sakurai made Uprising, I wouldn't be surprised if he's having Smash 4 follow Uprising's storyline. Hard to say what the situation is with Hades and Smash without knowing Sakurai's line of thought. Who knows, maybe he thought that, when shrunk, Hades would become Falcondorf 2.0 or something like that.
A silly conversation is your guy's reasoning? You think they wouldn't include Hades because of an easter egg? A silly conversation which may or may not be cannon in Kid Icarus? They wouldn't even think of that as a reason not to include him. You guys are thinking about this harder than you're meant to.
Why do so many people want K Rool?? Classic final boss or not he's just so freaking ugly to look at. Ugh.
Sorry I needed to mini-vent. I just can't stand how he looks and my Smash experience would be all the worse if I had to look at his face regularly.
K Rool seems to be the one of the most popular choices according to polls done by Smashboards. Inkling and Isaac are up there too. Funnily enough, those are my top 3 (in no particular order) choices anyway.

Hey, don't look at me. I was just providing the link you wanted...

I didn't think of Isaac until after I voted unfortunately, but I voted for Young Link with the ability to switch masks because: a) he's relevant, and b) it's such an awesome idea! You could switch between forms with down-B like Pokemon Trainer and each form could have unique move sets.
I just think it would be a fresh, innovative character with a bit more depth and flexibility than another regular, run-of-the-mill swordsman. (Although Isaac could have a more interesting move set than just sword/axe attacks too.)
Currently Playing: Breath of the Wild, Persona 5, Skyrim HD, Bioshock HD, Chrono Trigger (my annual replay of my favourite game ever.)
I would rather we get Diddy Kong as the DK rep and have some other heavyweight villain join the roster. Dr. Wily or Eggman in some giant machine perhaps idk. I just really dislike K Rool in general.
Again these are just my personal opinions...don't mind my ranting

I think you mean Dixie Kong. Diddy is already in Smash, and he's top tier
