To use it for gameplay.

Just because a controller or console has a feature doesn't mean it has to be used.

Once in a while would be nice.

They could've replaced the Mic for something else...like...a....um...another...button?

I'm pretty sure WarioWare Touched! uses it.

They used it in Super Mario 3D World and Captain Toad, can anyone else think of where they used the mic? Probably in Game & Wario. Oh and Mario Kart has some Voice Chat.

Smash, but...meh...whutever. Also...VC games don't count. lol

Well you specified gameplay, so Mario Kart and Smash go off that list when that's considered. It's used for...Wii U chat. At least.

200K and I will be happy to be wrong. I think the amiibo will outsell the game.

I don't think the Splatoon Amiibo will be hard to find, maybe just the 3-pack.

I preordered the game and the Amiibo Splatoon 3 pack. Shortly after i preordered the Amiibo 3 pack from walmart they have not been in stock for pre-order

I think with all the good buzz coming from the game it will hit 200k retail/digital within its first months release. Also there is a bundle pack exclusive via BesT Buy that will help up the sales as well. Time will tell.

Nintendo posted a scene from the game where you customize your squid on instagram. The shop theme is awesooooome. The music in this game is so good.

I think sales will be largely dependent on what is shown at E3. If Lucas and tournament mode for Smash is a "download directly after this presentation" then Splatoon's going to suffer.

There's almost 3 weeks between the Splatoon release date and E3.
