Online is starting to become worse with me, a lot of one sided matches, connection problems, people using lag to their advantage, etc etc, not max level, half ways through rank but I might just take a break from this game...at least I can't loose any progress.
Weird, I always end up with people who don't even cover the area in ink, they just run on ahead and I'm the one having to cover up everything.
That's what I do, there's no point in covering the ground in front of your area straight away when you'll back there when you respawn anyway and it'll probably get hit with inkstrike mid-game. I find it better to cover the middle ground/choke points/side paths as early as possible before inking the easy areas.
Ditto. And anybody who is not making a beeline for splat zones is hurting their team. Splat zone in Port Mackerel is so much more fun for me than Underpass. Though my apologizes to my teammates for the first match when I didn't realize you needed to cover both zones.

but me and my friend were going back and forth on whether or not walls count for points in turf wars.
Or does it depend? I've looked at the map and in some cases it shows up and some it doesn't. My thoughts were that anything that can be inked on goes for points but maybe that's not the case.
From what I've been told and what Nintendo says only what you can see from that final birdseye view. Slanted walls yes but not 90 degree ones.
But I will add it sure seems like when I thought our team lost they counted those walls.

Walls don't count, basically if it faces up towards the sky and if it's inked it gets you points.
I think this is the start of a new franchise that just will keep returning to every single console and that will keep selling like crazy. Opinion?
Given the sales, Nintendo would be crazy to make this a one and done.

I'm level 17 and still using the same weapon I got at level 10 or 12 and holding my own. I mostly do well but every once in a while have a horrible game. I may stick with my weapon exclusively.

sometimes i get killed a lot by aerosprayers so i switch to the aerospray then i get mowed over a bunch by rollers so i switch to a roller. XD It never ends.
I finally got my 3 pack amiibos. only done a few of the challanges its odd fighting the bosses with alternate weapons.
Isn't match making random, at least I think it is. I went through that yesterday where we had two level 20s and one level 18 and 17. I'm at level 11.
Occasionally, they would be grouped like this: 20, 20, 18, 14 VS 11, 17, 6, 12. We were destroyed.
And then sometimes, 20, 14, 11, 6 VS 20, 18, 17, 12.

Are you also using the Tentatek Splattershot? I'm level 17 and it's still my go-to weapon for Turf War. Not sure why, but it always serves me well.
However, in Splat Zones I use the N-Zap '85. Echolocator does so good in that mode. Inkzooka, not so much.

The .52 gallon deco. I'm not one to try a bunch of different weapons. I find one I like and stick with it.

Not really. I've been using the first splattershot junior exclusively and am usually always in the top 2 on my team. The gear is what really helps get you over the edge. You should play exclusively turf wars until you can get at least level two gear. That will help with the upgraded abilities.
Well, I FINALLY beat the single player campaign (I've been slacking a bit, lately. Finals suck), and it was...it was most certainly something. Anyways, now I just have to get all the scrolls I missed, and finish all the amiibo challenges, and THEN I can get back to playing online! Though because of my Finals, it's gonna take a bit for me to get to that.
There is nothing here...except for the stuff I just typed...
