They posted 2 of those pictures Friday where the "meter" had gone up 3 lines from 10:55PM to 11:17PM, that's just 1 hour Friday night. But it's only gone up 2 lines since Friday night w/ everybody playing all weekend?
Even my 10 year old son thinks the fix is in. They'll turn it on when they feel like it.
Well... sometimes, I would be killed randomly because APPARENTLY I was already supposed to be dead; when I get knocked out, the screen zones in on someone that's obviously far away or unable to hit me, or, worse, someone that's already knocked out. The random death's really annoying, but whatever. Sometimes, I also see that my ink fails to appear, but that gets resolved very quickly.
Can you go on miiverse, make a picture on the splatoon community and it will show up in the game or do you have to post within the game?
Yes, you have to post within the game. In Inkapolis, just before you reach Inkapolis Tower, there will be some kind of orange mailbox with the Miiverse logo on it. Make a post, and you should be able to see your post as graffiti in some of your battles. That is, if you aren't concentrating enough on painting the floor.

That's just Internet lag for you mate.
I've gotten to a point where I can usually tell if I'm supposed to be dead and then die soon after. It's annoying but expected.
Yeah my issues isn't lag, though I've had some here and there, but these are actually bugs/glitches. Anyways uploading a couple of videos tonight...already put up another boss battle. Later tonight my multiplayer video should be up at some point...

So I've played a fair bit since I got the game and I've gotten to level 10 so far. Most of my time was spent in multiplayer mode, quite surprising seeing I'm not really a multiplayer kind of player. Matches have been pretty smooth, yet sometimes the lag gets ridiculous - like I get splattered three seconds after killing the guy, or the ink takes a lot to appear on the ground and I can't go anywhere. I've been playing with loads of players from Japan, so that might be the reason.
I had to stop using the superjump because everytime I do I get teleported right in the midst of the battle and I always die half a second after landing.
There's a lot of stuff you can unlock by leveling up in multiplayer mode, and I really like that - it kinda makes up for the lack of content on day-1, as there's a ton of stuff to get and it's going to take a while to find a combination that suits your playing style. The reason I don't play much Mario Kart 8 online is that you basically get nothing as a reward for playing, but here I feel motivated to play online.
However, if there's one thing that makes me think that this product is rushed, it's the MUSIC. Now, in the last decade most of the games developed in-house by Nintendo have had music of the highest caliber - even the budget releases like Hyrule Warriors have stellar music because the live band they have is pretty good, but Splatoon is a bit poor music-wise. Everything, from the urban teenage vibe to the skate parks stages screams PUNK POP - ya know, stuff in the vein of The Ramones, Undertones, Buzzcocks, even Green Day or Weezer if you want to make it more ear-friendly, but that kinda stuff...there's an abnormal lack of music in this game. Hope more tracks get added soon because the game could really be enhanced by a few good songs. It's a summer game FFS, it should have summer songs on it.
Top-10 games I played in 2017: The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild (WiiU) - Rogue Legacy (PS3) - Fallout 3 (PS3) - Red Dead Redemption (PS3) - Guns of Boom (MP) - Sky Force Reloaded (MP) - ...
There may not be much but the music is still catchy and awesome, love the shop music and the main lobby (where you pick which mode) music are my favorites.

The music is pretty good. I remember reading someone say it sounded like it was made by aliens. I'm gonna have to agree with him on that.
There is nothing here...except for the stuff I just typed...

It goes up when players reach level 10. Most people who already have the game would have got it at launch. So naturally it went up quick early as the people who were enthusiastic enough to get it on day 1 played enthusiastically. Once those people got to level 10 the people left were levelling up slower. It's not surprising at all that it slowed down.
Well, I've got to say I'm really impressed. Now look, I'm a Nintendo fan and have been for many years. I know very well that Nintendo doesn't make bad games, so I knew from day one this was a must buy. But, what I didn't know, was that Splatoon would be my favorite shooter I've ever played in my entire life.
I cannot believe how utterly and thoroughly addictive this game is. And insanely fun! This is a BRILLIANT concept- shooting the ground with paint and fighting for majority coverage- and I'm genuinely shocked nobody has thought of it until now. For all the years this genre has existed, only now do I realize how stagnant and generic progress has been. Before Splatoon I thought space boots were innovative (CoD) and mechs were a game changer (TitanFall). Ha! This game put the entire INDUSTRY to shame. Yes, shame on them for regurgitating the same shooters for 30 years, and here Nintendo comes out of the gate with a winner to top them all.
Man I love this game! It has quickly become one of my favorite Nintendo franchises, up there with Mario, Zelda, Fire Emblem and Donkey Kong Country. This game stands tall and proud among its brethren, and rightfully so. I would be devastated if they did not continue this franchise in the future as a 1st party staple of the genre.

GAAH! MY WiFi decided to cut out for a moment and only affected my Wii U (I can hear my brother on Netflix in the other room)...
I'll try rebooting, but if my Wii U won't behave, I guess I'll hit level 10 tomorrow...
I own a PS1, GBA, GBA SP, Wii (GCN), 360, 3DS, PC (Laptop), Wii U, and PS4.
I used to own a GBC, PS2, and DS Lite

I'll have to disagree with you on this one. Some of the music in this game are already in my very long list of excellent earworms. I personally love the following Splatoon songs:
1. Gusher Gauntlet
2. Most of the Turf War songs - one stands out for me: http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ldHWmGo0L4A
3. Booyah Base (Crusty Sean version)
4. This song: http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=CEljfLXwVz8
Some of the single player songs sound nice, but they're not memorable, that's for sure.
Whenever I'm playing some matches with my friends, we usually tend to destroy the other team when the game pairs us up. Even without voice chat we seem to know who plays what role, it's like we can speak telepathically. I haven't really decided what type of weapon I'd main, but I'm leaning towards the roller since it's easy to use and the splash attacks are pretty effective. Though just like Smash, I'd probably just use any weapon.
Today something strange happened to me. My 3 teammates, disappeared suddenly. But the other teams remains full. Only a last moment shot, avoids the 100% loss.
