I guess E Liters can be used without gyro controls. When using that weapon you need to be very precise so I guess dual sticks can work. However, if someone is close to you, it must be really hard to move and act fast.
I couldn't see myself using the Bamboozler without gyro aiming.
@DreamyViridi ya, I think that gyro users will most likely have more of an advantage, but if you've used sticks for awhile and are used to them then I think it's fine to stay that way and it may not be worth switching.
When I tried to go back to sticks for a match today it threw me off a lot and I did horrible. I think it would probably take me quite a bit of effort to learn dual sticks and I assume it would be similar for going from sticks to motion controls.
Funny, I don't think any weapon is OP now. I used to think Tentatek Splattershot and (Gold) Dynamo Roller were a little OP, but I just learned how to deal with them and they all now look the same to me.
@Rexcalibr: Hey, congrats! I'm sure you'll be getting better over time, don't give up! Oh and you should give gyro controls another chance, they're one of the most intuitive control schemes I've used in my life. Just try to find the right sensitivity.
Thanks!. Trust me, I've practiced numerous times with gyro controls and no matter what weapon I use, it feels just like I have no control and the camera is moving all over the place. I've messed around with the sensitivity and it still feels bad. I guess it's like how some people in fighting games prefer a joy stick and some prefer a controller. I myself could never do well with a joystick and always preferred a controller.
I have to admit, I am envious of those of you who can master the gyro controls because I know it improves your performance but it's too later or me to just get used to it. I've used the control stick since I've go the game. I'll just stick to the rollers I guess.
@DreamyViridi I went all the way up to S 84 on RM. Then it switched to tower control, and I played two games, lost both, so I decided to call it a day. I'm still at S 74, so I'm hopeful that I'm going to finally make it, next time I get a RM rotation.
@TheXReturns: Looks like it'll be another race to see who gets to S+ Rank first!
I'm not as close myself though, I'm at S 70 right now; Splat Zone was not kind to me when I was close to ranking up.

@DreamyViridi Ah, but I'm heading out for a few days (why I wanted the tournament sorted before now), and we're roughly at the same point anyway. Good luck!
I may just skip any rotation that's not rainmaker, just to rank up, just to say that I was, for a brief moment, capable of S+. Then I'll come crashing back down again. XD

It's hard to evaluate from afar, but that sounds like you move the controller a lot while not aiming (I mean with gyro controls off). Is that so or am I getting it wrong? Everyone has different movement patterns and habits, so if that keeps you from using the motion controls, don't try to force it but rather try to use a loadout that complements your habits (playing without gyro) better. After all, while gyro controls can give an advantage, it doesn't mean you can't play without them as a few S-players here have proven.
I don't know which weapons you've played with but have you tried the Aerospray? I used it a lot in my first months because you don't have to aim much with it. If it should fit you well, you could maybe even proceed to the other high-firerate-weapons like the Splash-o-matic and N-Zapper (better range). Unless you already tried this, of course.
Otherwise, I would recommend Sloshers and Brushes as an alternative to Rollers, if you want to try out something else. But there's also nothing wrong with just being a roller main.
I've read your posts for a while now and I (and surely everyone else here) would like to help you if possible. It's not like all of us are S(+) pros either. And if you're able to get out of C and into B, it's totally possible that you can even go higher. After all, reaching B is a fundamental milestone for that, gyro controls or not.
If you want we can squad up some time, I'm currently A, so not too far away from you.
Please reply to me if you are interested. At least 2 others are needed to join for it. I won't be able to join, but currently the ones who can make it are @Nicolai and @ACK
I might have to cancel if we can't get enough people by Friday or Saturday
