@Freeon-Leon: Ok, just @ me whenever you want to play. @DreamyViridi: Actually, I think I like all two (three) versions of Hide & Seek.
The one we played is the most simple and was absolutely fun!
But the version using only Inkstrikes and point sensors sounds even more true to traditional H&S, I'd like to try that. Maybe we could simplify it a bit: First two minutes are for finding a hiding spot (just like we did), then the seekers seek with Point Sensors and Inktrikes only. The thing with the two halves sounds good but we could play it without that too.
And finally, the version that @TheXReturns mentioned (only one hider per team) would be also worth trying, I think.
My GOTY? Legend Of Zelda: Splat of the child. Ah no, I meant LoZ: Breath of the SPLATOOOON!
Nice! After trying out new weapons and abilities out in recent weeks, I found my next go-to weapon that I'll push into the triple digits p: The Custom Jet Squelcher! Not that I had never tried it out before, last year I played a bit with the standard Jet Squelcher.
But I tried out an awful lot of low-firerate weapons recently, mainly the .52 gals, the .96 gal, the Classic Squiffer and the Forge Splattershot Pro (which I had been using before) and I learned a bit more about the Kraken from using the the Slosher Deco, the .96 Deco and L-3 Nozzlenose D. That combined with my own experience in battleing Krakens makes my confident that I can master the Jet Squelcher now (and then the other weapons ).
After playing around with Stealth Jump and (in anticipation of the update) Bomb Sniffer, I realized that while Ink Resistance is a really great ability, depending on maps and modes other abilities can be equally or even more useful.
Since I couldn't decide which shoe-exclusive ability too choose, I went with this:
Of course, the gear can change for other map/mode combos.
And what can I say, I just started Splatoon and managed to get 7 wins in a row which took me straight back into A- land.
Admittedly, I played against B+ers, because my recent tryout phase ruined my rank and I didn't care, but SZ on Walleye Warehouse and Port Mackerel - not my favourite combination - went really great!
Opposed to what I normally do, I went to the known sniper spots on both maps, inked the zone from there and splatted enemies that I outranged easily. When the coast was clear, I jumped down and defended the zone with my teammates while not acting too offensively (unless with the Kraken to take the zone and splat Inklings ^^). Sometimes one of my teammates would accompany me and sometimes I did well on my own, just outranging and containing everyone. And I had a lot of Burst Bomb kills, hadn't used them in a while.
The Jet Squelcher was especially useful at Port Mackerel to contain the channels so that no enemy can slip past us unnoticed. That worked surprisingly well, they never stood a chance.
Also, on a different note: I didn't know Sheldon's Picks were already revealed!
Just saw them in the weapons article on splatoonwiki.org and I totally dig the Berry Splattershot Pro!
I somehow came across @Blue_Blur in a ranked match. : P You tried to sneak up on me when I was spamming the ham at where I thought the sniper was, but I showed you and also myself by splatting you while you splatted me at the same time when the match ended!
I made Sheldon & Mr. Randoms back on Flipnote Hatena, now i'm a kangaroo mod that has a funko pop collection!
I'm not keen politics since that stuff is spooky, I'd rather watch SpongeBob over Fox News anyways!
I don't know why, but just when I was going to sleep yesterday, I came up with a mini-game idea myself. It's probably not as fun as H&S or Bumperbrush, but still I wanted to share it.
