I think HD remakes are fine. Updating classics so a new generation can appreciate them is sound in my eyes. The only people who complain really are the ones who have already played it...and they should be old enough to know better lol.

I would definitely support them. Xenoblade would be worth it if all they did was improve the draw distance. The Mario Galaxy games, Pikmin 1&2, Metroid Prime Trilogy and the Zelda games would all be on my list if they got the treatment.
I'm hoping third parties will do the Wii VC thing as well as I like the idea of digitising as much of my Wii collection as possible. I just don't have the faith in the longevity of optical media that others do.
In my opinion it's way too early to make remakes of Wii Games. I would rather see them come on eShop as VC games.
More HD remakes of GameCube games would be awesome if they make good use the GamePad like Wind Waker HD.
I am ok with remakes of older games like wind waker for instance as it is fresh for a new gen of gamers and has aged enough that changes made are usually welcome (yay fast sail) but I'm not a fan of the current definitive edition games that are peppering the sony/ms library. Yes it accommodates folks that offloaded their old systems but it feels lazy to me. A quick way to prop up a gaming library because resources haven't been focused on new games.
Now I would like to see more revivals from nintendo. I loved punchout wii and KI:U. I would love them to do that with more franchises.

Nope. Just bring those old GCN and Wii games to virtual console. They don't need to keep charging us 60 bucks for a game that came out ten or more years ago.
Check out my YouTube channel if you love gaming, and Nintendo (especially Metroid) I think you'll enjoy my videos. :)

Don't care if they are HD, I just want to see Wii and Gamecube games released on the eShop period.
I think HD remakes would be better because you get a physical copy like Wind Waker HD (that you can sell or trade in... you can't trade in digital copies.)

Actually I change my stance. I'd buy a less buggy super mario sunshine in a heartbeat.

I bought Star Wars on my VCR, I bought it for my DVD. If I could be bothered with Blue Ray, I would have it on that. So in some respects, it would be great if you could buy any game for a particular format....but like in the case of Star Wars....just resist the urge to mess about with it too much.

What is "buggy" about Super Mario Sunshine in its current form?
Seconding this question. I haven't noticed anything in Sunshine that's particularly glitchy or unpolished.
For that matter, aside from simply adding more Shine Sprites I can't think of much they could do with a Sunshine remake (maybe adding Luigi, but that seems fairly pointless). There's nothing about the experience that really feels incomplete or lacking, even by modern standards.
I'd rather not see a ton of remakes and minor rereleases. Virtual Console okay, but remakes? Nah, a bunch of old games with slightly shinier graphics just comes across as a bit desperate.
