While I'm not a particular fan of the article (it's too anger-driven to be respectable journalism), the facts don't lie; in the eyes of the critics, it seems that the Wii U had a better exclusive launch lineup of games than the Playstation 4. However, it should also be noted that there are far more third-party games on the PS4 than the Wii U, two of which being Battlefield 4 and Need for Speed: Rivals. Both of those games (currently) have very good review scores and are being heavily praised.
The only reason Battlefield 4 has "good reviews" is because only 10 reviews of the PS4 version have been submitted to Metacritic. Look at the userscore.
Disney reviews written by Neil Sharpson, voiced by Erik Copper and edited by me on my channel! They're hilarious, I can promise you that.

Which is almost as many units Wii U has sold in the US over a whole year, so I don't think the metacritic scores for the games matter at all.
Actually, the Wii U sold 425,000 in the U.S. in its first week (and 3 million after a year).
197,000 PS3s and 326,000 Xboxes sold in the first two weeks.
Personally, I wonder how many of those PS4's were with that blue pulse of death thing.
What are you talking about the Wii U has still only sold 1.6 million units in the US to date so my point still stands.
@MadAussieBloke "MicroSony Defence Force" I don't really see much of this on this thread/site so don't see it as a relevant statement for this thread. @skywake Like @RancidVomit86 said the Wii U didn't sell those numbers in its first day or even its first week @dumedum even stated the numbers, honestly the PS4 doesn't interest me atm as there aren't games I want to play this doesn't change the fact that it has had quite frankly impressive first day sales due to economical climate right now and that the console has a lot of potential just like the Wii U.
Yea, as far as this being considered actual "journalism," I'm with most people in realizing that we can't quite go there. But beyond that, things panned out exactly the way I thought they would: people scoffed at the Wii U's launch titles, but I said that Sony's and Microsoft's wouldn't be any better. Lo and behold, they really aren't better. Launch games are rarely spectacular, so I'm not one bit shocked. I do think it's upsetting that Sony has so FEW exclusive launch games, though. I was going to get a PS4, but now I'm pretty luke warm on it until I start seeing more games. The Wii U had more exclusives right out of the gate, including ZombiU doing something totally different and distinct with the gamepad. Killzone and Knack are just games that we've seen before.
Anyway, launch games really don't matter in the long run anyway. They're always the games that get forgotten, so I don't see the point in comparing them.
Why do people point to their wrists when asking for the time, but don't point to their crotch when they ask where the bathroom is?
Launches are gonna be terrible in some way. No one should ever expect a perfect launch from any system. Similarly, console's failure or success should never be judged by the launch considering systems like the PS3 and 3DS became successful, and I suspect Vita and Wii U are on that path as well.
The great about this is that it should shut people up about Tablets and Game consoles being in the same market.
How so?
People kept saying that console sales are down due to tablets and smartphones when they are two seperate markets. Sales were down due to this generation being so damn long.
WAT!

Not surprising. Launch titles are usually mediocre.
Agreed. Yet some how, the tone of the article turns the dry facts into a blood bath. Why can't people (the author, specifically) just be content with the system they chose?
