Topic: Pikmin 3 - OT

Here is the thread for the 3rd installment of everyone's favorite 2 inch tall astronaut! Since we know practically nothing about the game yet till E3, for the moment I'm just speculating. I bet we'll see (either all or some of the following) Black, Orange, Green, Light Blue, and perhaps other colored Pikmin. (For those of you who have completed the first game, remember that you see those colored Onions at the very end, flying up into the atmosphere). I can only wonder what Olimar would be doing returning to the Pikmin planet (aka Earth). What are some of your ideas of what we'll see in this sequel?

Looking at how many people read that article on ign, just like starfox 64 3d It WILL sell poorly because of lack of online

If the single player mode is even more extensive than it was in Pikmin 2, then online multiplayer isn't necessary anyway.
Not every game requires online multiplayer to be good, and this is one of them.

And besides, its gonna be a few months before the actual game is out....its not even finished obviously, doubt they would tell us EVERYTHING about the game. More importantly, things can change.

Except unlike StarFox, Pikmin doesn't have a shallow Single-Player that needs a Multiplayer to try and redeem it.

It also has local multiplayer only & that made alot of people 100 times more uninterested solely because of the lack of online again.

I agree. However, his excuse for not having online makes me think he's lazy or just simply doesn't want to do online gaming.

Let me follow your logic, people became uninterested because they found an extra multiplayer mode, but didn't have online?

So that means if they remove co-op there will be more people interested.

I agree. However, his excuse for not having online makes me think he's lazy or just simply doesn't want to do online gaming.

I love the guy but his last answer in that interview made me want to smack him upside the head with a boxed copy of practically every RTS made since 1999.

A game without online multiplayer but is still amazingly good should be sold at whatever price they chose.

@Sony_70 and @Brando67854321, You two don't even know if Multiplayer is worth your time. Pikmin is generally a Single Player experience, so if you are upset about lack of online in a series notable for it's Singleplayer, not Multiplayer, then that's a problem.

Pikmin's single player is all the game needed anyway.

At least we get local multiplayer.

Edit : Pikmin isn't even the type of game that would be fun online. Its best played alone, then 2nd best is playing with someone in the same room working together.
