Im sure they will, haha i would have to say i hate the kirin the most out all the monsters. i was kinda mad when they took away the bow in MH Tri so i had to settle with my second favorite weapon, the sword and shield. Tri was so basic compared to MHFU...

I played the demo of MHFU which got my interest in MHTri. There are problems I have with the MH games and hopefully, MH4 or whatever fix this issues I have with them.

Dynetheous

like what? i cant think of any problems, but ill probably agree with you when you say what it is.

(i hope that they release MH 3rd HD ver. in the USA)

... No, I don't think you'd agree with me

I don't want to say it because then, it'll create a problemo here, so I'll keep some of it to my self.

But I will say:

New daily quests online
More armor and new monsters added through online updates
more choices in faces, hair, body size, etc (I'd love them to do a Sims 3 and make the characters customizable like that- but that may be asking too much)

Reasonable armor upgrades- I still use my Baggi armor set most of the time and would like to upgrade it so it can be on par with the 'better' armor. I like how it looks.

Oh, and as much as I love turtles and hate cruelty towards animals and especially them- I want to gather carvings to make turtle armor. And I'd loves to chose from a good amount of personal colors (a color wheel for example) so I can personalize my hunter even more.

That's all really

thats about all i want from MH, new weapons, armor and lots of quests, like a new set of quests each week would be nice. something like MH frontier would be great.
(you want to start a thread for MH problems? its killing me, i want to know :3

If I started that thread, it'd be a warzone most likely- maybe not. I know people on Capcom Unity who think MH is perfect, going as far to say that it should stay on Sony's consoles, this and that- I'm a tunnel visioned fanboy for wanting MH on 3DS- ugh, all that nonsense.

Come to think of it, maybe we should start a "What you want in the next MH".

Though, I still need to play MHP3rd to really nail down what I want

There is a color wheel for armor coloration, you just ahev to beat the offline single player to unlock it.

imo daily quests would just be too much, unless they like rotated every week, there could not really be something new every single day.

The PSP games do have DLC for Monsters and Armor, and even other cool extra DLC stuff that MHT missed out on like farm upgrades, special felyne chefs and extra shop items (and piggie costumes :3 )

Could you elaborate more on this -

Reasonable armor upgrades- I still use my Baggi armor set most of the time and would like to upgrade it so it can be on par with the 'better' armor. I like how it looks.

I don't quite understand what you mean. You can upgrade armor with armor spheres until it gets maxed out. If you're talking about it having crazy high defense and different skills, that would ruin the whole point of MH.

You can use any armor you want once you get really good, but armor choice is mainly on what skills it has. I made an awesome viking looking set that I love using against Jho, it has er... well, I forget the skill names 'cause I haven't played MHT in months but, it works well with him, and it looks cool. Baggi armor... it's a pretty low armor to use for late game, but hey. I'm still sporting mah peco+ armor n_n

Customizable character? what, is 20 hairdos not enough? It'll be covered with armor the whole time anyway

Edit: @komic: this is a speculation thread. feel free to say anything you want in the next game here, no reason to start another thread for it :3

See, I never beat offline multiplayer, but I am about 5 quests away from it. Just never got around to it. Nice to know.

What I mean by that.. I really don't even know myself but I just want to upgrade my Baggi Armor to + status without having to start from scratch- I think that's what I meant. I don't want to it to be super easy, but I want it to be less time consuming and frustrating.

There's only 3 or 4 hairstyles I like. But even then, it's not really more hair styles I want, but I want something similar to Phantasy Star Universe where you can change the size and height of your character just to make it more personalized.

Other things I want separate from customization are a huge overworld. I know it'd be very demanding but I think it's possible. Isn't Frontier an open world (or pseudo?)

I think it'd be cool to head into different towns, explore various caves and locales. MHTri is a beautiful game. I would have liked to travel towards the volcano instead of instantly being dropped there. Thinking about it, I say this now but if it did happen the way I want to, I may end up not liking it as it may take too much time for a game that already sucks up plenty of time (harvesting, hunting, etc.)

komicturtle

I actually really really wanted an open world when I first started playing the game. Now I'd probably be more like 'it'd ruin the formula of MH, don't go changing the formula!'

If Capcom can pull it off, I'm all for it! And I'm not sure about MFO, I'm so mad that I can never play that game that I didn't research it ;___;

Yeah but...well, yeah PS3 does have a huge install base already and all, but the audience for a MH game on PS3...I just don't see it. So yeah the install base is there but that same install base is only interested in CoD...or the majority of it is anyways.

What a ridiculous statement to make. You're talking about the same PS3 that has more JRPGs than any other TV console this generation by a considerable margin. The same console that's getting Dragon's Dogma. The same console that got the proper version of Final Fantasy XIII.

The people in Japan don't play many FPSers at all. And the Monster Hunter series is made for the Japanese audience first and foremost.

.

That's in Japan, not in America. And hes talking about Western Countrys...

One thing that has been bugging the hell out of me for a long time. Can Wyvern fire really be Rapid-Fired? I did read somewhere that the game was lying about rapid-firing the Wyvern Fire but I didn't want to believe it. I tried many combos of guns and even branched out and tried different skill sets with gun combos and then to different monster armor parts in different orders with different gun combos. have I been doing all of that for nothing? Is rapid-firing Wyvern Fire really all a lie? Like I said, I did read somewhere that it is all false, but I just want to hear it from someone like @zez . I would hate it if the answer was 'no', but I have to put an end to this search and end this hope, no matter how badly I want to believe that I can rapid-fire it...

aawww! i wish i still had my monster hunter games, because i could really help you out @arcanum i had a gunner outfit that had rapid fire wyvern fire but i cant remember... sorry
EDIT: i think i had an armour set with lots of slots, so i just added jewels to let me have the ability to have rapid fire wyvern fire, but i think it took up most of my slots, so if you really want it make sure you have this, have plenty of slots

@zezhyrule im just wondering, did you have over 6 different sets of armor for you blade and 6 different sets for gunner classes? i just want to know if im the only one, but im pretty sure im not, cause if you are really good then you would need lots of variety depending on what monster your going after and where the location is.

WHAAAAAT!?!?!? REALLY!!?? I REALLY HOPE THATS TRUE. I am solely a gunner. I tried blades one time actually. I tried out the GS but I got owned by a gobul....rather horribly. I love guns to death and I can never ever imagine switching to another weapon, so if this turns out to be untrue....I'll be heartbroken...

BTW you do mean in MH3 right? cause that's the game I'm talking about Rapid-Firing Wyvern Fire in.

@Arcanum I'm pretty sure that in Tri, there is no Bowgun/part that can rapid-fire Wyvern Fire. About earlier games I can't be sure, as I just started MHFU and haven't played any others.

@Zephren: In MHT, I'm still working on it, but I about have different equip sets for each monster that I've been working on farming. Other monsters I don't yet, mostly because I used to only use the LS, and you really don't need much variety between mons' for that. Now that I'm branching out and trying all the other weapon types (except SnS. I hate you SnS >:[ ) I've had to put together different armor/weapon combos for them. The only weapon I'm not currently noobish with (in MHT) is the LS tho', and it's a noob weapon. CONTRADICTION

@Arcanum sorry, i thought you were talking about MHFU, theres no such thing in MHTri.

@zezhyrule haha i love the LS. im pretty good with all the weapons except the gunlance, and heavy bowgun. i like everything else. thats why i have tons of armor sets i guess. but the bow is my fav like i said above, the bow is just a unique weapon and has tons of potential, and i was quite mad when they didn't have it in Tri
so back to topic... they better have the bows in the new MH for the WiiU........and like, 30 new monsters and color variations.

edit: or they could take monsters from Frontier and put them in the new MH
this would be nice http://monsterhunter.wikia.com/wiki/Rathian_Subspecies

You know what I don't get about MHT & MHP3rd? MHP3rd is like a port from MHT, but with a hell of a lot more Monsters, weapons, and more on psp. Why couldn't Capcom put that much on MHT, the Wii must surely have more power than the psp. Right?!

Yes, I agree, they should add bows and dual swords in MH Wii U.

A Knife in my heart.

I think the reason why they took out the bow is because of the under water hunting thing. I forget where I read that, but I love my bowguns so I really don't mind much for the missing of Bows.

Oh. Another question. Is A Monster Hunter Frontier possible on game consoles like the Wii U or PS3? I'm not too sure on this adding Monsters/Areas/Weapons and Armor thing being possible on Wii U like it is on MHFO. But if it Were....That would be Godly
(EDIT: changed MHF to MHFO. Thanks @Zez)

i really wish they would do that, but since MHF was never released here in the USA, everything would be new. so i would be fine with them just porting MHF to the Wii U. but i rather have a new game with around 100 monsters and color variations, some new areas (im fine with the old areas), and there definitely needs to be new weapons and armor, and one last thing.. new quests added weekly. all of that and anything capcom comes up with would be great

and if there can be fire/explosions and your able to shoot bowguns underwater then arrows should be able shoot through the water, just saying,

MHF was released in NA in 2006. Monster Hunter Freedom for the PSP. Monster Hunter Frontier on the other hand is usually shortened to MHFO to be distinguished from the PSP game since it's Online.

Sorry, it was just bugging me

It would be a lot harder than just 'porting' it. They have to get dedicated servers for the game which would be very costly, especially since they don't even know if there's an audience for a MH MMO on the Wii U.
and who knows if the Wii U can even handle it

Not port. Completely new system, completely remade. Even a new town. Just has the areas (plus 1) and monsters (plus 25) from the 3rd generation.

The Wii does have more power, but Tri was like a fresh start for MH, they didn't want to clutter it or something. The Portable series has been known for having lots more monsters than the console games.
