@Peek-a-boo: We don't need multiple MC Wii U edition threads, if you wish to talk about the news, you can talk about it on the article or thread, do whatever, just no need to make a extra thread about it.
@Peek-a-boo: Any of us mods could edit the thread onto the Wii U boards when the time comes. The discussion so far has basically been that of a general thread then a news one.
You could make an online centric thread for multiplayer though.
Edit: If you have further questions and/or enquires feel free to use the contact form.
When the game comes out in ten days time, do we continue to talk about the game in the NEWS section or will someone else create a new thread in the WII U section to talk about the game as well as posting our opinions?
That's why I created a proper thread in the WII U section a little while ago, but you seem to have a problem with it, no?
:EDIT 1: Jazzer94 has explained it a little bit thoroughly now anyway.
:EDIT 2: And now the thread has been moved out of the news and into the eShop section. I guess this makes sense, thanks!
Now, do you think that the game will support infinite worlds? Even the Xbox one version of the game will experience massive dips in frames when 4 people go off into different directions.
while it's fairly late, this is honestly massive news for Nintendo. I'd bet money Wii U would be doing far better with Minecraft alone if it came out sooner considering Minecraft sold approximately 70 billion copies on 360.
Finally that Friend list could be used for something other than 1 or 2 smash and mariokard sessions
And the Wii U's gamepad touchscreen/second screen gimmick
Wow, did not expect that $30 price tag... I'll probably wait to get it as I have so many questions ... for one it has 4 player local but what kind of controllers can we use? Gamepad would be 1 of course, but would you need Pro Controllers or can we also use Classic Controllers? If it's the latter, I'm already set up for 4p but if it's Pro Controller only, I can only do 2p. Also curious about world size, which features this version will actually get and performance (especially with multiplayer it better be damn smooth in 1p). And I know this probably won't happen but how cool would it be if when you had 2p you could have the 2nd player have the entire TV (and you could even split it in 2 for 3p) Would be neat but I won't be holding my breath on that one.
The higher price point can easily be justified. If this game has online (which it needs), you can play for online for free. No other console version lets you do this. Certainly, Microsoft would like to recoup some of the cost for lost subscriptions, because I know people that will drop their Xbox membership because they can play on the Wii U.

The higher price point is because of the bundled DLCs. The Wii U version have the identical DLCs as the Minecraft Holiday Edition (except for the Halo DLC). The price is also identical.

Except that you can choose to buy the Holiday Edition. You kinda only have one option on the Wii U.

Also, I'm pretty sure this has been already stated, but in case it hasn't, you can play 4 player split screen (must be playing in HD), and up to 8 online. I wish one player could play on the Gamepad while others can play on the TV, but oh well. Maybe later.
