When I make my levels, I don't want to make them near impossible or rely too much on trial and error for people to beat. Most people honestly will just quit or skip the level I would think unless they're hardcore Mario players.
Yeah I think there will be a time when people will get over this "I want to be an expert level maker" and turn that into "I want to make fun levels".
Look at every Mario game, 90% of the levels you can get through first or second try. The remaining 10% are the expert levels. Most of my levels will be aimed at being just fun to get through.
I like to base levels off of a gimmick. Like in Mario and Donkey Kong: Minis on the Move I made a level where the player had to complete it with only turn pieces. They also fill up the entire board area.
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...
Some of my levels will have a specific idea in mind, but zi think I'll make a lot of "just for fun" levels that have no theme or idea and are just a level.
I don't think I'll be making too many crazy hard levels that'll frustrste people.
If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.
I dunno yet, but my first few levels will be the usual levels based on the actual games with a twist. I do wanna create a maze made out of invisible blocks, though. lol

Keep it PG-13-ish.
I just hope that levels I eventually make and upload would get a decent amount of attention. Whenever I uploaded M vs. DK puzzles, they were typically overshadowed in favour for levels that completed themselves and that's depressing. It'd be nice for popular levels to be popular for the right reasons but I have my doubts...
Here are some ways you can customise the Bowser/Bowse Jr. boss fights:
I am so glad they decided to put more emphasis on boss fights. This seems really cool. I know I'm just beating a dead horse at this point but hoping and praying the Koopalings will be alternate pallets swaps of Bowser Jr. through DLC. If this is a 30 year celebration game on the Mario franchise, they have been in a prominent enough role to deserve an appearance.
It would be easier to just draw a pair of legs for him instead of a whole new body
Anyway, the reason is probably "because they wanted to".
But yeah, as nice as the sprite is, it's in a completely different style from the rest of World's sprites. Looks more like it was taken from Super Princess Peach or Yoshi's Island.
Isn't that the same thing tho?
If you don't master making levels properly it won't be fun. There are still points like don't making them too frustrating and unfair, or the level is too long for its difficulty, or too short and easy etc.. Anything that disturbs the fun for the mayor part of the community. We just have to see what kind of level they'll prefer and adapt to it. A good creator also makes good levels.
no, my comment was more in line with people who think "expert level" making is just making a hard level, vs someone who can make a fun level. i just have a gut feeling we'll see a lot of really hard levels where people are trying way too hard.
I prefer the new Bowser, because he actually looks like Bowser. The one in the original was miscolored. His skin was colored green, while in the instruction booklet for SMW, the game Super Mario Bros 3, and all the Mario's after, he has yellow skin
Lol that was my initial impression to his voice. Then I saw him respond to a troll making fun of him in the comments and my respect for him overpowered the discomfort.
Troll: "That's perhaps the most annoying voice on youtube."
Andre: "Hey, for you it's optional. I have to live with it."
You can tell a lot about a person by seeing how they deal with criticism.
