Same here! I'm hoping they pick some other good Retro Tracks. I'd like it if Mushroom City returned.

I think this game might have the largest roster of any Mario Kart game.
Usually Nintendo saves a bunch of character reveals for those who want to play the game so I'm expecting more characters that haven't been announced yet in addition to these that will be unlockable in the game.
The Koopaling reveal was pretty epic. Having a ton of villain racers is going to help balance the roster which in the past has always been hero heavy. Super stoked.
And those kart designs are really sweet. Huge variety and a nice upgrade from MK7.
With the Koopalings now involved, is there a small chance we might see a possible story mode with good characters versus bad? Maybe one on one boss fights against them all individually?

I hope not, I never enjoyed the story in Diddy Kong Racing. I always felt the most needed feature was a simply one off GP race.
My top hopes are Mouser, Kamek, Tryclyde, Professor E. Gadd and Dixie Kong.
Every character needs their own track or if they think 16 new tracks is enough, they need every retro track included from day one. I want to play a retro Rainbow Road cup!
As for the people saying that the 'rubber banding' needs to go or that the items make it too easy for the worst player to win..... do they not realise that the best players don't complain about this and get good enough at every track to not have to worry about a few late blue shells (although it wouldn't do the game any harm to tinker with the item set up).
