Personally, I'm EXCITEd for the Excitebike course.
I'll leave now.
Formally called brewsky before becoming the lovable, adorable Yoshi.
Now playing:
Final Fantasy XIV (PC) | The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (Switch) | Celeste (Switch)
I'm not sure if this is the right place for this question, but how come I can't toggle the on-screen map in a race? I've downloaded the update, I have the Mercedes Benz cars, multicolored Yoshis and Shyguys, but the map won't appear, no matter what button I press. Does it only work in single player mode? I also tried it during time trials with no effect. I read you're supposed to press (-) but that did nothing.
@crimsoncavalier
You have to press the (-) button on the gamepad during a race/time trials.
It only works on the gamepad. Once it is toggled the map stays there no matter what, until you toggle it off again of course.

On the game pad ... Of course. Thanks. I only use the Pro controller, so of course I didn't try that.
Is there a way to force the items from the items boxes to be randomized faster? I have noticed the the AI players in the cups and some players in online multiplayer get their new item faster than I get the item, even if we hit the item box at the same time.

I've noticed that as well, and it seems to happen to me more often when playing online. From what I can gather, it happens when they game is attempting to determine your positioning. It doesn't happen very often when you're in first or last. If you're in the, for the lack of a better term, let's call it the peloton, then your item will be picked more slowly, as the game is trying to determine if you're in 7th or 8th.
I don't see why it should make a difference, though, as the items in the game are so unbalanced, it shouldn't matter if you're in 7th or 8th. But that's my theory at least.
I just read today's press release from NoA, and it seems like the current 2.0.0 version of MK8 doesn't support Amiibo. Amiibo support will arrive in an future update.
Does anybody else having problems with MK8 online lately?
Since Friday I get disconnects and can't connect after a dc. Weird enough, I can connect again if I restart my console.

Anyone?
Oh yes. That's happened at my friend's house on occasion. If we get disconnected and can't get back on, we use the old "Turn it off and on again" method, and it's yet to fail us so far. You're not the only one.
