@DefHalen Same, not to mention that inside drifting bikes do handle corners better, you just have to be able to anticipate them, because inside drifting is really odd, in this game.
Hate to break the hilarious Luigi stare comment streak, but I just unlocked the Gold Standard so I have to give my final opinions on the game.
Favorite New Tracks: Electrodrome, Mount Wario, Cloudtop Cruise (Sunshine Airport gets an honorable mention)
Favorite Retro Tracks: Sherbet Land, Yoshi Valley, Piranha Plant Slide
Least Favorite New Tracks: Mario Circuit, Bone Dry Dunes, Twisted Mansion (sorry Luigi fans)
Least Favorite Retro Tracks: Music Park, Donut Plains 3 (like both of these tracks but they could have done more), Dry Dry Desert
Favorite Characters to be: Ludwig and Larry Koopa, Metal Mario, my Mii, and Toad
I've only played three Mario Karts but I'll list best to worst here
Let's see, I got mario kart 8, with digital Pikmin 3 to replace the copy I traded in for 35 bucks. Then, I got another 15 bucks from the digital deluxe promotion, and got Advance Wars and the GBA Yoshi's Island.
I say that's not half bad for 25 bucks. XD

Here's a recent race I did not to long ago on the NLife GP. Really hectic race that had nonstop momentum through out. The last 10 seconds were the most intense!!

You know the Luigi thing was funny for like a day but it's so played out now that it's getting rather silly now.
I'll take Nintendo silliness over (Ninten)doom and gloom any day!
Oh I agree but the whole topic and anything related to Kart 8 now is all about the stare and who can come up with the best one. Like I said fun for a day but.....

so yesterday I was playing mario kart. I was in the third spot, 3 maybe 4 sec away from the finish line but I hit the guy in front of me and ended second. The guy did NOT go over the finish line before me. Yet I was third and he was second in the results. This is the second time that this has happened. Wth?
Lag on your end or theirs. They probably had already crossed the finish line but hadn't registered on your screen yet. Kart 7 was bad at times for that. I would see someone go over the edge only to pass right by me as if they never fell.
