Can you explain why you recommend doing a time trial after every grand prix? Would that be any different than doing all of the grands prix at once and then doing all of the time trials at once?
@Edwin
You can do either way. The reason I prefer to do Time Trials after every Grand Prix is so that I'll have something to look forward to that's not as boring as Time Trials. Doing Time Trials from start to finish is exhausting work, and the same goes for going straight through all the Grand Prix from start to finish.
You gotta have some variety in my opinion.
Unlocking Toadette was pretty exhausting in Mario Kart Wii if you did it from start to finish.

Fake. First, they all use the Mushroom Cup's background (note the star patterns around / underneath the 4 "extra cups". Also, each of those aren't reminiscent of MK8's art style.

Nintendo World Report's (really bad) review confirmed you can unlock things you could in single-player in multiplayer Grand Prix. I assume this includes characters.
Last I checked there was no bad reviews then alone really bad. Plus I have no problem with this. All it means is I don't have to play single player to unlock stuff.
I just meant their reasons for giving a low score were pretty bad. I don't have a problem with unlocking characters that way either. I actually like it. Andre of GameXplain said you unlock characters by "completing Grand Prix." So...I guess you don't have to win them...because I don't know how you would figure that out in multiplayer.
Then like I said a few days ago, it will be a missed opportunity and dumb on Nintendo's part. Why not give us more content especially if a ton will pay for it. If it's free that's all the more better.

If I was only ever able to have Monster Hunter and EO games in the future, I would be a happy man.
And apparently people see it as an unfinished game without it. I don't really understand that logic but hey. I imagine a lot of people would buy it, so yeah a missed opportunity

In some people's retrospects, it is an unfinished game with a lot of polish on certain areas. If you think about it, Battle Mode didn't live up to its expectations, given the fact that the race tracks are the battle tracks. The game could use a lot of tweaking IMO, but if DLC isn't in the game, seeing it as unfinished is not that far off from actually being true. I think DLC would be beneficial for this game and Nintendo, but if it won't happen, I think it could potentially be a detriment, given the amount of time and sales during a 6 month+ span.

Someone said the same thing to a guy on IGN during their livestream (in a very rude way) the guy linked a highlight MKTV video after 5 minutes so much apologizing followed.
From what I've seen of it, Battle mode at the very least is an improvement over the terrible modes they've dished out in the last few games.
Probably still not worth playing at all and the fact that the eliminated players are invisible is completely stupid and ridiculous, but on a whole it seems like a slight improvement to me.
So it's much easier to unlock the characters and parts, hopefully young kids who play this game will be able to unlock it if that is they had trouble with some of the other titles. I remember going to someone's home and being asked by a younger kid to try to unlock some of the locked cups.

Anyone know in what ways you can collect coins and it actually go towards your total? I think in 7 you had to play Grand Prix, and maybe online verses or something.
