I mean, any Nintendo forum, news site, or blog I look at is all doom and gloom. Everyone has something bad to say. About how Nintendo's doomed, or there are no games, or how Nintendo is out of touch, and yet I'm having a blast with mine.
Sure, it isn't brimming with content quite yet, but games like Nintendo Land, NSMBU, Scribblenauts, Sonic and All Stars Racing, Zombi U, Injustice, Call of Duty, Assassin's Creed, Lego City Undercover, and all the eShop games are great distractions. I understand many of you have already completed these games, but don't forget - there is the virtual console. I'm currently completing Super Mario World for my third time, and having a blast. Miiverse is a lot of fun.
It may be just me, but I'm having an awful lot of fun.
Looking for some 3DS and Wii U friends. PM me if interested!
I don't have as many Wii U games as others but I still don't have time to play my Xbox. I am having so much fun with my Wii U that I am not sure if i will have multiple home consoles anymore, right now it all comes down to if Destiny will be on Wii U. Nintendo has done right by me.
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

Honestly I haven't used mine a whole lot yet. I'd love to see more quality eshop games start showing up. But Mario and Nintendo Land are great. I don't have anything bad to say about the system, I can't wait for more RPGs and obviously Zelda and more creative uses for the gamepad. I just honestly haven't used it a lot yet. I know I'll be on it all the time next year.
Definitely. With classics like Pushmo, Harmoknight, and Mutant Mudds on the 3DS eShop, I hope we get great original content on the Wii U also.
Exactly. I loved all of those eshop games, and I love all of the high quality indie games on my Vita and PS3. I just hope devs are cooking up some good ideas for the Wii U and its gamepad.

(honestly, what is with all these recent "doom and gloom" threads? that phrase has gotten pretty popular in a short amount of time here)
But to answer the question, I don't have a Wii U, and I honestly don't want one at the moment. There's really just nothing for me yet. Nintendo is going to have to do something good to get my money...
I'm having a great time with my Wii U! The Off-TV play is a huge deal for me when I got to share the TV with the family. It makes Xenoblade Chronicles (and other Wii games) look great on my 59" TV. The Virtual console is just getting warmed up so looking forward to that. I know some exclusive Nintendo games are coming soon but in the meantime there is plenty enough out there to keep my video gaming time busy.
I still have many Wii/Wii U games that I have not finished playing yet so I am having a blast with the system. Of course for me the big fun will begin when Nintendo releases more first party titles later this year and Ubisoft brings out Watch_Dogs and Rayman Legends and WB releases Batman: Arkham Origins and Sega releases a new original Sonic game.
no but i have a blast with my 3ds system.
Just give the WiiU maybe 2 more years time and it might be a blast then too, but imo 3ds is way to go.
Just look at that massive game library.
Ps: you can play MH3U on a 3ds too ( WiiU not really needed for now)
Ps II: and no nintendo is not doomed , they just need time and you players need patience !
Honestly I haven't had too much fun with my Wii U
Nintendo Land w/ 5 players was extremely fun but that got a bit boring after about the third time my friends and I all played together (we played for like 6 hours at a time though lol)
I still haven't beaten ZombiU because it really wasn't too interesting. I'm usually OCD about completing every game I get 100% but I don't really have much motivation to do that with ZombiU. I got Super Mario World and FINALLY got all 96 exits (I've been struggling since I had it on GBA like 10 years ago!), but that only lasted about four days. I also bought Kirby's Adventure just because it was 30 cents but I'm not really liking it too much. One game that keeps me coming back is the Rayman Legends Challenge App though! That is EXTREMELY addicting! I can't wait for the full game!
To be honest, I still play my Wii more than my Wii U, though. When I only had just a Wii I played Gamecube/PS3/PC games more and kind of neglected it but now all Wii games are super cheap and I'm having a blast with it!
Wii U will be more fun when PIKMIN 3 IS FINALLY RELEASED, as well as Game and Wario, Rayman Legends, Wind Waker HD (never played it!), new Smash Bros., new 3D Mario, new Zelda game, and more online games. I also plan to get New Super Mario Bros. U but I feel like it's going to be the same thing as the Wii, DS, and 3DS versions. I'm going to get it when New Super Luigi U is released.
And finally, I hope that we see a new Super Monkey Ball on the Wii U some time in the future. I spent many, MANY hours on Super Monkey Ball 1 and 2, but it kind of went downhill from there. The Wii version was PHYSICALLY painful to play, so I really hope it doesn't end up like that. I want a Super Monkey Ball using analog controls again, and presents the same challenge it did in the Gamecube days. I wouldn't mind having a gamepad tilt mode, which would actually be nice because the gamepad is extremely accurate unlike the Wii remote, so it probably wouldn't be as horrible. But I wouldn't want the ENTIRE game to be tilt-controlled, just it's own mode. And I also hope to see some new Mario sports games eventually. I'm not a fan of like NBA, Madden, and FIFA games, but Mario sports games are always a lot of fun (especially Mario Hoops 3v3 on the DS). The only exception is Mario Sports Mix which SUCKED. Mario Strikers Charged was lots of fun though, and it had online!
tl;dr, I'm not really using my Wii U that much but that should change once more first party games are released (PIKMIN 3)!
LOL don't think anyone is, it doesn't even have any games for it!
sorry i have more games for the wii u than i did for the 360 or ps3 at this stage of life. and alot better 1,s. mh3u,smbu,dkr and oot. buying re on the 21. sorry didnt have poop for the ps3. you must be very lonely
I have. Every time I turn the system and play, I just have to much fun to care about the media's excessive negativity. In fact I am getting a game for Wii U tomorrow!
