There's probably more characters that are being kept secret. The game comes out thursday, so just hold on for a few more days and I'm sure you'll see more characters.
The really annoying part about this releasing so early in Japan is that spoilers are going to flood in from every corner of the internet, and it seems like it's already doing it here.
Come on. If Thor and The Expendables can have a gender swap, certainly this concept could fit well in the Zelda franchise. Maybe as a future DLC for Adventure Mode.
As much as I wouldn't like it it is a possibility. If they went about it right then it could work. However if with no explanation at all and we just end up with a girl link then it wouldn't fit well. It has to fit in the overall story arc to convince me.
Where Thor gets away with it for me is it's more of a title of who holds the hammer. We don't have that hear though.

I'm glad to hear that Japanese reviewers love this game. This game really needs to sell well in Japan. Its nice to see that Nintendo hasn't forgot the Japanese market
I think it's equally meaningless to complain about as it would to change the gender (especially since Zelda is RIGHT THERE PLAYABLE).
If this is actually a thing in story mode or something, we should give Nintendo props for being progressive (the story involves a hinted love story this time IIRC )
It really looks Warrior Orochi with Zelda skins and few characters...
Pretty much don't really know what else people expected.
If this HW will be a success on WiiU, I hope Tecmo will port other Dynasty Warriors games on WiiU (especially Empire which has a deeper gameplay)... I am playing Orochi 3 hyper those days and I am having a blast with it (not only me, my girlfriend even more...)
