Topic: Hyrule Warriors (& Legends) - OT

If I got a dollar for every time I saw this question, I'd be able to buy Hyrule Warriors.
But anyway, I've never played it either, but a comment I saw said: "On easiest difficulty you're a lawnmower, and on the hardest you get juggled around only to find yourself dead in 10 seconds."

They actually tend to fall in line with my tastes fairly often, so I appreciate them.

Then again, they rated the Final Fantasy XIII trilogy 39, 40, and 37, respectively...

Base off on official Japanese Hyrule Warriors site, there is at least one more playable character that isn't a villain.

I'm not trusting any Japanese review for this game, since it's a extremely popular franchise in Japan. It's pretty much guaranteed to get high scores over there, kind of like COD over here.

Slowly getting more interested in this game...maybe it's because Midna is playable, I dunno. lol
How big exactly is the size of character roster in Dynasty games? Just to get an idea of what to expect here...hoping to play as Majora's Mask in this game. xD

DW 8 - 83 playable characters
DW7 - 66 playable characters
DW6 - 41 playable characters
DW5 - 48 playable characters
etc.

But I'd guess its better to compare Hyrule Warriors to other DWx[Insert Franchise Here] mashups. For example; One Piece: Pirate Warriors, which only had 13 playable characters. Or One Piece: Pirate Warriors 2 which had 27 playable characters.

The Hyrule Warriors roster will most likely range between 15 - 30.

Darn....maybe they'll surprise us with 50+ Zelda characters then. TwT lol

I'm a bit worried that only 13 playable characters are revealed so far, and the game releases in only one week...

MM probs won't be in it. The games they are massivly pulling from are SS, OoT and TP, the moon from MM is an attack tho so who knows what we'll see.

They've only shown story characters yet. In adventure mode characters are unlockable so there still will be surprizes.

tbh, I doubt I will play a ton for every character regardless if it's supposed to somehow long-term compete for my time with Bayonetta 1+2 and Smash Bros coming up.

Also, I think the actual new attempts at gameplay innovation for a Warriors game would make up for a smaller roster for most people?

dynasty warriors 8 had over 80 characters, but I'm definitely not expecting that many for HW. I believe the roster will be somewhere close to 30.

No, just characters you don't unlock in the story. So the villains.
