I know that parents are more likely to buy a system if more than one person wants it. I have 3 sisters
1. My oldest sister never games so I'm not going to bother
2. My younger sisters LOVE gaming and like Nintendo and Zelda.
3.My second youngest sister is not interested in the Wii U but my youngest loves it
4. Any help on how to get my sister to like it more?
Keep the discussions constructive folks. I'm getting rather irritated by these responses. Should they continue, I will issue temporary bans as per the rules.
Anyway, try to find something she likes. Since I don't know your sister well, I can't really say much more.
I have no interest in their reasoning. For all I know, they can ask their questions if they want. If you don't like the thread or have nothing productive to say, then don't post and report the thread. Otherwise your posts will be treated like any other flaming posts. -Lz
My sister doesn't really play games, but she did enjoy playing Wii Party U quite a bit. I think for someone who doesn't play games much, multiplayer/party games are usually one they will like.

I am asking since Christmas is coming and it IS productive since it will help others with the same problem...

It doesn't help me much since my problem is trying to get my uncle to love the Wii U, but perhaps I can apply some of these answers to my situation and see if they will work on him
I don't think trying to push someone to like a thing they're not into is a good idea. So just show them games and characters they're into. For my nieces/sister I know that I'll get them hooked with Animal Crossing, Yoshi and Kirby because they love those characters. The fact that Mario Kart 8 has a lot of baby characters also tends to work pretty well. Also, you have to admit that Baby Daisy is just about the cutest thing ever. Them having all of the characters they love in Smash and Mario Kart really helps get them into those games just like them having Bowser Jr does for me. Plus if Zelda is a hit then Wind Waker HD is something you should point out.
Tell them to tell your parents that you all want a Wii U. In exchange, you'll be their butler for 3 months. Then once you get the Wii U, hope they forget the deal and you all will have fun playing Mario Kart 8.
You could beg your mom and say you'll do chores and be extra good. Go pick a dandelion and give it to your mom, then tell her about Wii U and smile really big.

I don't know how old your sisters are, but there might be a couple of game clips in the Mario universe that might "help". There are zillions of clips available of Mario Kart 8 on YouTube.
Yoshi's Wooly World that @skywake posted is a must-see for everyone.
Super Mario 3D World:
Captain Toad (December in the US, January in Europe):
Kirby and and the Rainbow Curse:
Please note that the Yoshi and Kirby games don't have release dates yet.
Why don't you try saving up money for one? Do some chores around your house, or sell some crap on ebay. I got my Wii U because I had a job, and I sold my Xbox 360, and PS3 on ebay.
Check out my YouTube channel if you love gaming, and Nintendo (especially Metroid) I think you'll enjoy my videos. :)

Well Wii U is the only console with major releases where you play as female characters, so there's that.
What? Sorry, but this isn't really true.
Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition is the only example I can think of to prove this wrong, and that's a port of a last-gen game. I admit I haven't been following the PS4/XB1 releases much though.
But 35+ year old grumpy, white male anti-heroes is where the money's at, so you can't entirely blame the industry for capitalizing on it.
EDIT: Forgot about Dragon Age: Inquisition. Oh well. It was a joke about Assassin's Creed anyway.

Depends on how you measure it I guess. All consoles have games with female playable characters so if that's what was meant sure. However on the Wii U there's Mario Kart, Smash Bros, Bayonetta, Pikmin, Donkey Kong, 3D World. A fair chunk of their top games have playable female characters. Compared to the other guys where even though they do have games with playable female characters none of the "system sellers" do.
It's a silly point and a bit of a non-point because it's just a reflection of the fact that the Wii U has a lot of multiplayer "party" games and the other guys are heavily influenced by what big budget devs are doing. But there is an element of truth in it... I guess..

I think my point is that those big budget publishers are uncreative and boring and their reliance on the exact same type of playable character is a good reflection of that. Also, next gen is heavily relying on online multiplayer.
