Can someone explain to me how to draw on the U? I remember watching a video in 2012 that featured drawing with the Gamepad. Is there some dedicated drawing application in the Nintendo eshop? And if yes can you print your work afterwards?

@TheCurator The 'biggest' app I think you're looking for is Art Academy: Atelier (or whatever it was known as outside the UK) which is a delightful package of lessons and tools.

You can use it to free paint/draw, and you can export your work to jpeg on the SD card. Bear in mind the resolution will be limited (can't remember off hand what res the files save at).

I'd recommend it wholeheartedly, and need to spend more time with it myself.

You guys had me at blood and semen.

What better way to celebrate than firing something out of the pipe?

I'll have to check this out. Dying to get more use out of my Wii U.

Thanks! I checked it out and it costs 29.99 EUR. Probably I’ll pick it up this year. @gcunit

You're absolutely right ! Art Academy : Atelier is great.

I highly recommand it. It's another hidden gem of the Wii U. The explainations are so well done that you can really understand the technical points on several art styles.

To complete that, the way they made "your atelier" is awesome too. You even can expose your drawings and visit your gallery etc...

People who like to learn while having fun, must get Art Academy Atelier for Wii U, a fantastic piece of software.
